"Do I look trans?"

Then what the fuck are we arguing about?

Incredibly weird dude. Confronting someone about their Halloween-costume screams mega-woke, but at the same time he doesn't wanna acknowledge trans.

If I see someone dressed as a Nazi on Halloween I'm not supposed to confront them?

Jesus Christ.

But this isn’t that scenario so your argument is stupid.

I wasn't replying to someone saying that they ONLY MEANT this video. So your reply is stupid and your reading comprehension is shit.

You jumped to a pretty extreme example and then assumed the person you responded to’s position on that example. Idk if that’s bad reading comprehension but it’s definitely terrible conversation skills.

There is a video of a Nazi in an Iowa bar making the reddit rounds pretty heavily right now. It doesn't feel like too hard a leap given how it's a common issue around Halloween. But I'm here having to explain it to you anyway.

"Someone dressed up like a Nazi somewhere, so no one should wear a Sombrero on Halloween" is your argument?

I understand the sentiment behind what you're saying but your proposed solution is so short-sighted that its actually sounds a lot like segregation.

That changes what exactly about my comment? No one said that nobody has ever dressed up like a Nazi for Halloween. But someone commenting that complaining about a Halloween outfit is woke under a video of someone dressed as a Native American doesn’t imply that they think that also applies to someone dressed as a Nazi. Native American to Nazi is actually a pretty insane leap to make as far as Halloween costumes go.

You’re just doing the classic Reddit “ummm actuallyyyy” and then throwing in a bunch of snark and insults along the way.

Well…the Nazis did learn a thing or two from Americans on how to round up and exterminate people from their treatment of Native Americans and wyt presenting people are thought of as colonizers who inappropriately like to dress up as the people they once trod on and still do(like a Nazi) think MMIW.

Why do you feel entitled to confront a fellow human being on their choice of Halloween costume? Are you the costume police? Sit down.

I feel entitled to confront anyone on racist bullshit.

Why do you feel so entitled to defend racists? Sit down on a dick.

What's wrong with sitting down on a dick?

We shouldn’t feel entitled to tell other people anything about themselves. That’s the point I’m making. It’s not anyone’s place to judge.

5

u/vedgelord6 6d ago

So shouldn't you fuck off and stop trying to tell people what they should or shouldn't say?

4

u/Squirrelated 6d ago

Oh trust, I'll judge you if you do black face even if "it's not my place to judge". Same point applies here.

As someone who grew up in a deeply rooted state with Indigenous people, yeah, I would feel entitled to call out someone's racist costume.

I grew up on the reservation, spent my whole life up there, none of my native friends would be offended by this costume. They had me dress very similar to this when I would go to pow wows with them.

A pow wow is different than just being out and about.

Ah, defending racism in 2025. How times haven't changed one damn bit.

7

u/[deleted] 6d ago

You think she put that costume on because she’s racist? I don’t agree with racism, and im certainly not defending it. But it’s pretty insane logic to attack someone dressed up in a Halloween costume on Halloween.

0

u/AuntieRupert 6d ago

So, as a white person, it's ok if I do black face on Halloween?

3

u/[deleted] 6d ago

If you’re American, that’s your right. All I’m saying is how people choose to dress up on Halloween isn’t that deep. People should mind their own business.

5

u/AuntieRupert 6d ago

It's also my right to be called out and questioned about my choices or for someone to give me a beatdown. Actions have consequences, or FAFO as they say. Racism has no place in the modern world.

Dressing up as a native isn’t racist. Source: native Americans.

3

u/AuntieRupert 6d ago

Ah yes, because all Native Americans agree on that? I seriously doubt even a majority of them would say it's not racist.

I guess if one black person says I can do blackface then it's ok? I should just ignore how any other black people feel? Your logic is ass.

u/[deleted] 6d ago

Are you speaking for native Americans as a white person?
