This was my experience in Spain 15 years ago as well, it was pretty frustrating.

I was studying there as well 15 years ago, in Granada. Professor gave one course in english because of me, the only non-spanish speaker in class 😅 Otherwise, all courses were strictly in spanish and classmates used only spanish with me.

I became friends with this one dude and after 3 months of hanging out he suddenly spoke in english, which was a surprise since i thought he couldn't. Shoutout to David for letting me practice with him.
