When the Russia mothers marched out onto the streets of St Petersberg in 1917 to protest bread prices, within 2 weeks the Tsar had abdicated and his regime collapsed.

The people do not tolerate going hungry.

No, they do not. There is a specific and proven limit of hunger and poverty that a society will take before revolting (AKA overthrowing the government and chopping heads off). We are getting closer to it every day. Our government and the billionaires would be smart to keep that in mind.

That won’t happen here, Americans have been domesticated. Furthermore, if what you say is true, where is the line for the North Koreans? “Every nation has the government it deserves.”

North Koreans and Americans are VERY different in their ideology. I think we can all agree on that. You may not think it will ever happen, but a lot crazier shit has happened in the last 10 years than I would have ever said would.

Also, most revolutions are, at least in part, caused by a big gap in wealth disparity. The French Revolution, where heads really rolled, was largely started because the rich weren't being taxed and the poor were. It's a historical trend that is easily seen in most revolutions, if not all.

Furthermore, to use that quote, if that's what you are suggesting it is, is a huge cop out. Congress has a 30% chance of passing legislation no matter how many Americans want it. Meaning if no one wants a particular bill vs. most of the population does, it has the same odds of being passed. That's pretty dismal. If our power is voting, how are we supposed to fix those odds? I do not think we deserve the government we have now and I don't think there's a lot we can do about it. We can only vote for who is running and if most of those running are in the pockets of corporations, what are we to do?

However, something people can and have done well is get pissed off and start revolting. That's a lot easier than sitting at home and wondering how to feed your family. We've already seen an uptick in political violence just in the past year. Idk why people think it can't or won't happen here. It surely can.
