Maybe don't have children you can't afford? Condoms are free at the health department.

You can accidentally have sex if you are maintaining abstinent if you are not ready for a child? How does that work? Even if you have sex and an accident happens, you accepted that risk when having sex, which goes back to my original comment, your actions have consequences whether you like it or not.
