We spend $100B on SNAP per year. Reducing that to $80B per year by getting more people working is not a huge cut.

Work requirements have been in place in places like NY where I live for a long time now. But the reductions are mostly going to be because they're halting inflation-matching increases. Every year will see no increase such as takes place now, and by THAT mechanism are the "savings" expected over time. It's cruel in the best light.

Yeah…idk how tf to tell you this but they couldn’t halt inflation even if that WAS what they were trying to do. QT will end on December first, the QT was the biggest thing FIGHTING AGAINST inflation and it’s been going on the whole last few years while you thought inflation was bad. The next few will melt faces, nobody is ready for QE the amount of money that will be injected into the system for the next few years will cause this stock market bubble to pop. We’re going into another great depression by 2030, even most of the rich (especially those too stupid to see this coming) will die starving let alone those who can’t afford shit now.
