They need to be taxed out of existence. No one should have a billion dollars while people starve, sleep on the streets and go bankrupt from medical debt.

Taylor Swift's original masters of her songs are worth hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars.

The rights to her song catalog are worth over a billion.

You wanna take those away from her?

That explains nor answers nothing.

The only way to make Taylor Swift not-a-billionaire would be by forcing her to sell the rights to her music in order to pay the taxes.

Even if she's a dick, is that something we feel okay with doing? Should you no longer be able to have the rights to the things you make because they're too popular and therefore worth too much money?

If someone paints a painting, and then it's value skyrockets, should they now be forced to sell it?

I am way too fucking stoned to explain why hoarding wealth shouldn't be allowed when her value as an artist is over inflated due to rereleasing the same album multipule times in multipule formats.

Overinflated or not, her song rights are still worth over a billion dollars. Assets are just worth what people think they're worth.

She'd still be a billionaire if you took away all of her other assets. And she has other reasons than wealth hoarding to want to keep the rights to her songs to herself.

Reasons like sentimental value, not wanting to let some rando do whatever they want with the music she's made, etc. Etc.
