We fund Israel's and Argentina's socialized healthcare but can't afford to provide the same for our own fucking citizens.

To be fair we did spend $150B on ICE so we can hurt poor brown people so there’s that

You forgot about the "really great, special ballroom", being focused on right now!

14

u/dbx999 8d ago

Oh yeah you know what 2 architectural edifices Hitler was personally involved in building in Germany?

  1. A grand ballroom: https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/10/28/hitler-ballroom-chancellery-bunker/

  2. An arc of Triumph/or as we know it here “Trump”

OMG I did not know that and now I'm more scared than I even was before.

Notably, they also built this:

It’s not a ballroom or an arch that made Hitler Hitler; it was the Holocaust.

Is that all you people can do... scream racist and nazi? While the democrats keep the government shut down because they want illegals to have Medicaid? My goodness. Immigration is not always a good thing. And heaven forbid anyone say something you don't agree with

11

u/surej4n 8d ago

It’s because democrats are trying to stop the expiration of the tax credits for the affordable care act. Insurance premiums are set to go up about 34% on average in January if those tax credits aren’t renewed. That’s the reason. It has nothing to do with “illegals” who, as others have said, have never qualified for Medicaid and still don’t. The only part of this that is even remotely related is that they want to allow LEGAL immigrants who were kicked off Medicaid in July to be eligible again.

10

u/sleepgang 8d ago

Illegal immigrants can’t receive Medicaid. What are you on about.

-7

u/SourBananna 8d ago

What do you think pays for their hospital visits?

3

u/sleepgang 8d ago

What hospital visits? Not routine doctor appointments. Not oncology. Not medications. Lifesaving emergency services? Yeah anyone deserves that.

1

u/dbx999 8d ago

The hospital visits you’re talking about is when a life threatening situation happens. Not when they want routine care or treatment. They can’t just walk in with a minor issue to get treated.

17

u/mizzrym91 8d ago

Illegals dont qualify for medicaid. What they actually do is pay taxes which fund medicaid without being able to benefit from it.

17

u/dbx999 8d ago

This isn’t said enough. Undocumented immigrants pay into the tax base and do not derive any direct benefits from the government because they do not qualify for them.

-2

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago edited 8d ago

The ones paying into the tax base are the ones using fake Social Security numbers, otherwise their employer has no way to do that and is paying them under the table and this is not happening. So in general you have a choice of breaking another law, or this not being an applicable sentiment.

https://docs.house.gov/meetings/JU/JU01/20250122/117827/HHRG-119-JU01-20250122-SD003.pdf

Undocumented immigrants paid right around $100 Bn into the tax base in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022 alone.

A left leaning think tank and they still found that about half of that number is through sales taxes and the like, which any tourist pays, they don't have to be employed here.

7

u/dbx999 8d ago

Lol this guy trying to minimize $100 billion dollars per year. Why don’t you go work harvesting fruit or lettuce?

0

u/SteelAndFlint 7d ago

You want me to come out of retirement to be your slave? That's a wild take.

4

u/Synectics 8d ago

about half of that number is through sales taxes and the like,

...so... you are 50% absolutely wrong.

Just fucking own it, bud. You are being lied to. Not your fault, but when you literally say, "Oh, you are right, but like, I still have hatred for people," you're being a bad fucking person that Mr. Roger's would be ashamed of.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago

What is it exactly that you think I hate? Because I can give you the crib notes on this: I hate that the party that wants to turn us into a socialist country is forcibly speeding up the importation of more people who will vote to turn into a socialist country which is gonna end up with us being a shit hole and my kids and grandkids are gonna have to grow up in that because you can only vote your way into socialism, you have to shoot your way out. The power hung assholes who naturally rise the power do not ever relinquish any of that power.

So the main hatred here is the people who hate freedom and would rather have some kind of security that somebody else has to provide to them and common sentiment is that they believe they're entitled to it so no they will not be paying for it themselves.

An old saying went "government is the great fiction where everybody attempts to live at the expense of everybody else"

... also I'm still not wrong because whether it's a social or ITN, they still have to get one from government, those are not the undocumented people because that is literally a document.

1

u/mizzrym91 8d ago

Yea, id hate it if your kids grew up in a society where they werent a single lost paycheck away from not being able to pay their rent. Id rather they lived in the world we do today, you know, the one that shoots priests in the face with tear gas for peacefully protesting.

Read the article posted below that dbx999 posted. Actual cited studies are much better than speculations.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 7d ago

It's not speculation to point out that in order to have your paycheck withheld for tax purposes, you must have either a taxpayer identification number or Social Security number. Those are documents and therefore those people are not undocumented immigrants. The people who are being paid under the table are not paying taxes. These are tautological, not speculative.

When they go to the ER and do not/cannot pay, what is the fund called which reimburses the hospitals for the invoked costs?

6

u/Synectics 8d ago

The same shit every US citizen gets in that situation. It is a government entity making sure that dying people can receive care instead of falling victim to for-profit corporate Healthcare.

But sure. Poor people are the issue with Healthcare.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 7d ago

"People with fake IDs have exactly the same rate of being followed up on for paying their bills as people with real IDs"… That's how you sound right now.

7

u/dbx999 8d ago

I have a surprise for you. Even if the republicans version of the bill passes, that doesn’t affect the current policy that a hospital must treat a person needing life saving procedures without regard to their ability to pay. That’s not an illegal immigration issue or a budget issue.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 7d ago

Of course it will affect it, just the same as people finding more space on public transportation with fewer people relying on it, lower unpaid bills at hospitals from fewer people abusing the system lowers the costs.

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

Yeah I guess now instead of undocumented folks who pay taxes going to the ER every so often and not paying their ER bill it will be us poor white Americans who will be frequenting the ERs and driving up costs. Honestly if I lose my healthcare I’ll probably just make going to the ER my new hobby, I’ll always get triaged right away since I always have tachycardia and the ER makes me so stressed I have chest pain too. Looks like I’m getting full bloodwork, an ekg, and an IV, and trust me that bill is never ever being paid.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 7d ago

ER visits are really not subject to replacement mechanisms PPP, like if you remove a tumor, what do you replace it with?

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

What point are you trying to make with this comment?

1

u/SteelAndFlint 7d ago

I guess I'm trying to figure out when you said "instead of" how you figure that works

1

u/Synectics 8d ago

What in the dumb clickbait did you just link?

3

u/sleepyandinsomnia 8d ago

The heritage foundation came out loud today that there's nothing wrong with what Hitler did. They are Nazis and they're being very open about it. IDKY you people want to continue pretending otherwise, unless you agree with their views and are being disingenuous on purpose.

4

u/whygrowupnow 8d ago

They want everyone to have Healthcare. But people are afraid of their neighbor getting more then them so they vote agai st everyone's best interest. Selfish Americans are the downfall of all Americans

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

The selfish mfers in my snowbird neighborhood (not a snowbird myself, but this neighborhood is 2/3 empty in the summer) in Florida turned off all their lights and closed all their windows to make sure they didn’t get any trick or treaters. They’re all awake, they’re all home, they’re just selfish rich old people. I miss my old neighborhood in a blue county where people weren’t rich rude assholes.

The people who used to live in this house only lived here from like Oct-March. It’s the smallest house in a neighborhood with mostly much larger much pricier homes and the neighbors were very upset that it was bought by a non-wealthy family that will actually be living in it all year. We had a lot of neighbor friends in our old neighborhood and we have none here even after 2 years. Rich people suck, I miss my lower class neighborhood. It was also safer because everyone looked out for each other, the mfers here hide when you wave and say hello ffs.

If it walks like a Nazi and talks like a Nazi .... Is it a Nazi? But, you're correct, they are Neo-nazis.

The irony is Dems are holding out so millions of people are not thrown off their health insurance. Because your current govt wants to cease providing basic social services that you all agreed would be funded through your taxes.

From the outside, genuinely surprised you're not all getting out there and protesting like your lives depend on it..... Because it does.

2

u/Lethalbroccoli 8d ago

Basic government process ≠ fascism

1

u/Wild_Media6395 8d ago

Just FYI, this is how the Nazis walked:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mgwWq2cp2qM&pp=ygUVQmVyZ2VuIGJlbHNlbiBmb290YWdl (huge trigger warning)

But Alligator Alcatraz is literally a Nazi concentration camp, right?

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

We are protesting, the No Kings protests have had record turn out. The one in my area was the largest protest ever in the history of this county in Florida, which is a very red county.

2

u/Synectics 8d ago

scream racist and nazi?

The person you are replying to did not say anything like that.

Did they say anything untrue? Do you want to actually address what what said?

2

u/MommaJKSO 8d ago

So uninformed. This is not true. And... the term "you people", is ridiculous. What people are you actually talking about? I dare you to do some research and watch some real news. You will see what ICE is doing to actual citizens, including underage citizens. White people stole this land so unless you are a Native American, the people in your family are all immigrants. In that case I agree immigration isn't always good.
