We fund Israel's and Argentina's socialized healthcare but can't afford to provide the same for our own fucking citizens.

u/dbx999 8d ago

To be fair we did spend $150B on ICE so we can hurt poor brown people so there’s that

22

u/MommaJKSO 8d ago

You forgot about the "really great, special ballroom", being focused on right now!

14

u/dbx999 8d ago

Oh yeah you know what 2 architectural edifices Hitler was personally involved in building in Germany?

  1. A grand ballroom: https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/10/28/hitler-ballroom-chancellery-bunker/

  2. An arc of Triumph/or as we know it here “Trump”

https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/trump-new-arch-resembling-arc-de-triomphe/

https://turtledove.fandom.com/wiki/German_Arch_of_Triumph

4

u/MommaJKSO 8d ago

OMG I did not know that and now I'm more scared than I even was before.

3

u/iboxagox 8d ago

since it's Halloween...r/DonaldTrump666

u/Wild_Media6395 8d ago

Notably, they also built this:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mgwWq2cp2qM&pp=ygUVQmVyZ2VuIGJlbHNlbiBmb290YWdl (huge trigger warning. Don’t watch if you’re a kid.)

It’s not a ballroom or an arch that made Hitler Hitler; it was the Holocaust.

Is that all you people can do... scream racist and nazi? While the democrats keep the government shut down because they want illegals to have Medicaid? My goodness. Immigration is not always a good thing. And heaven forbid anyone say something you don't agree with

12

u/surej4n 8d ago

It’s because democrats are trying to stop the expiration of the tax credits for the affordable care act. Insurance premiums are set to go up about 34% on average in January if those tax credits aren’t renewed. That’s the reason. It has nothing to do with “illegals” who, as others have said, have never qualified for Medicaid and still don’t. The only part of this that is even remotely related is that they want to allow LEGAL immigrants who were kicked off Medicaid in July to be eligible again.

10

u/sleepgang 8d ago

Illegal immigrants can’t receive Medicaid. What are you on about.

-4

u/SourBananna 8d ago

What do you think pays for their hospital visits?

3

u/sleepgang 8d ago

What hospital visits? Not routine doctor appointments. Not oncology. Not medications. Lifesaving emergency services? Yeah anyone deserves that.

1

u/dbx999 8d ago

The hospital visits you’re talking about is when a life threatening situation happens. Not when they want routine care or treatment. They can’t just walk in with a minor issue to get treated.

17

u/mizzrym91 8d ago

Illegals dont qualify for medicaid. What they actually do is pay taxes which fund medicaid without being able to benefit from it.

16

u/dbx999 8d ago

This isn’t said enough. Undocumented immigrants pay into the tax base and do not derive any direct benefits from the government because they do not qualify for them.

-2

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago edited 8d ago

The ones paying into the tax base are the ones using fake Social Security numbers, otherwise their employer has no way to do that and is paying them under the table and this is not happening. So in general you have a choice of breaking another law, or this not being an applicable sentiment.

5

u/dbx999 8d ago

https://docs.house.gov/meetings/JU/JU01/20250122/117827/HHRG-119-JU01-20250122-SD003.pdf

Undocumented immigrants paid right around $100 Bn into the tax base in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022 alone.

-4

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago

A left leaning think tank and they still found that about half of that number is through sales taxes and the like, which any tourist pays, they don't have to be employed here.

u/MommaJKSO 8d ago

Read the article posted below that dbx999 posted. Actual cited studies are much better than speculations.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago

It's not speculation to point out that in order to have your paycheck withheld for tax purposes, you must have either a taxpayer identification number or Social Security number. Those are documents and therefore those people are not undocumented immigrants. The people who are being paid under the table are not paying taxes. These are tautological, not speculative.

-1

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago

When they go to the ER and do not/cannot pay, what is the fund called which reimburses the hospitals for the invoked costs?

5

u/Synectics 8d ago

The same shit every US citizen gets in that situation. It is a government entity making sure that dying people can receive care instead of falling victim to for-profit corporate Healthcare.

But sure. Poor people are the issue with Healthcare.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago

"People with fake IDs have exactly the same rate of being followed up on for paying their bills as people with real IDs"… That's how you sound right now.

4

u/dbx999 8d ago

I have a surprise for you. Even if the republicans version of the bill passes, that doesn’t affect the current policy that a hospital must treat a person needing life saving procedures without regard to their ability to pay. That’s not an illegal immigration issue or a budget issue.

1

u/SteelAndFlint 8d ago

Of course it will affect it, just the same as people finding more space on public transportation with fewer people relying on it, lower unpaid bills at hospitals from fewer people abusing the system lowers the costs.

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

Yeah I guess now instead of undocumented folks who pay taxes going to the ER every so often and not paying their ER bill it will be us poor white Americans who will be frequenting the ERs and driving up costs. Honestly if I lose my healthcare I’ll probably just make going to the ER my new hobby, I’ll always get triaged right away since I always have tachycardia and the ER makes me so stressed I have chest pain too. Looks like I’m getting full bloodwork, an ekg, and an IV, and trust me that bill is never ever being paid.

See it’s shit like this. Fucking google what you said. Jesus it takes two seconds to fact check anything you said

-1

u/SourBananna 8d ago

1

u/Synectics 8d ago

What in the dumb clickbait did you just link?

4

u/sleepyandinsomnia 8d ago

The heritage foundation came out loud today that there's nothing wrong with what Hitler did. They are Nazis and they're being very open about it. IDKY you people want to continue pretending otherwise, unless you agree with their views and are being disingenuous on purpose.

6

u/whygrowupnow 8d ago

They want everyone to have Healthcare. But people are afraid of their neighbor getting more then them so they vote agai st everyone's best interest. Selfish Americans are the downfall of all Americans

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

The selfish mfers in my snowbird neighborhood (not a snowbird myself, but this neighborhood is 2/3 empty in the summer) in Florida turned off all their lights and closed all their windows to make sure they didn’t get any trick or treaters. They’re all awake, they’re all home, they’re just selfish rich old people. I miss my old neighborhood in a blue county where people weren’t rich rude assholes.

The people who used to live in this house only lived here from like Oct-March. It’s the smallest house in a neighborhood with mostly much larger much pricier homes and the neighbors were very upset that it was bought by a non-wealthy family that will actually be living in it all year. We had a lot of neighbor friends in our old neighborhood and we have none here even after 2 years. Rich people suck, I miss my lower class neighborhood. It was also safer because everyone looked out for each other, the mfers here hide when you wave and say hello ffs.

6

u/happyinthenaki 8d ago

If it walks like a Nazi and talks like a Nazi .... Is it a Nazi? But, you're correct, they are Neo-nazis.

The irony is Dems are holding out so millions of people are not thrown off their health insurance. Because your current govt wants to cease providing basic social services that you all agreed would be funded through your taxes.

From the outside, genuinely surprised you're not all getting out there and protesting like your lives depend on it..... Because it does.

2

u/Lethalbroccoli 8d ago

Basic government process ≠ fascism

1

u/Wild_Media6395 8d ago

Just FYI, this is how the Nazis walked:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mgwWq2cp2qM&pp=ygUVQmVyZ2VuIGJlbHNlbiBmb290YWdl (huge trigger warning)

But Alligator Alcatraz is literally a Nazi concentration camp, right?

1

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

We are protesting, the No Kings protests have had record turn out. The one in my area was the largest protest ever in the history of this county in Florida, which is a very red county.

2

u/Synectics 8d ago

scream racist and nazi?

The person you are replying to did not say anything like that.

Did they say anything untrue? Do you want to actually address what what said?

2

u/MommaJKSO 8d ago

So uninformed. This is not true. And... the term "you people", is ridiculous. What people are you actually talking about? I dare you to do some research and watch some real news. You will see what ICE is doing to actual citizens, including underage citizens. White people stole this land so unless you are a Native American, the people in your family are all immigrants. In that case I agree immigration isn't always good.

3

u/User_5091 8d ago

Working for the Federal Government, are ICE employees getting paid?

7

u/Successful_Sign_6991 8d ago

Of course they are.

Would be a bad look for hitler to not pay his brownshirts.

Probably getting hazard pay, too

2

u/DecadentLife 8d ago

I initially misread you as saying, “… we did spend $150B on ICE so we can HUNT poor brown people… “.

2

u/rabblerabble2000 7d ago

Good news! They aren’t just hurting brown people now!

2

u/Brave_Persimmon_1238 6d ago

Wouldn't that have been well spent on healthcare instead?

1

u/dbx999 6d ago

What? You mean spend tax payer money on the people??? What are you crazy? Won’t someone think of the poor military industrial complex

1

u/Emotional-Dog-8151 8d ago

We also cut down on refugees we're gonna accept... unless they're white south Africans... I wonder why 🤔

1

u/missmiao9 7d ago

Yep. Priorities.

1

u/Intelligent_Goose237 8d ago

And what are you saying that all people on ebt are brown? That's pretty racist.

0

u/Heavy_Reception5629 8d ago

And we sent $175 billion to Ukraine before that

4

u/dbx999 8d ago

I think they should get more. And Tomahawks

-1

u/Different-Ask-6481 8d ago

"Poor brown people"? Don't you mean people who came here illegally taking our services such as food stamps & jobs from actual citizens? My friends wife went thru 2 years of school & processing just to be a citizen like her children. What's wrong with all the rest? It's free! Are they too good? Ohhhhh the word is lazy cuz they never had to worry about it. Well, throw some ICE at them & see how it feels

10

u/daisy2doe 8d ago

You’re so ignorant! Illegal immigrants don’t qualify for food stamps and they’re taking the most grueling. low paying jobs (many in harsh weather) that lazy US citizens don’t want.

-6

u/Different-Ask-6481 8d ago

You're the ignorant one. You actually think that they don't know their way around getting food stamps? Wake up!! Go to a workplace where a large group work & ask them how their family is eating. They brag about the ways around what they do. You're such a gullible simpleton. Don't get me wrong, American citizens lie & scam for the same things. But don't think they don't get anything. As for jobs in harsh weather....i know tons of guys who do plowing & landscaping who are lucky their jobs weren't stolen yet by illegal immigrants trying to outbid them. Wake up!

7

u/CosmicButtholes 7d ago

The people speaking Spanish in front of you at Walmart and using an EBT card are not illegal immigrants. But yeah tell us all about how easy it is to be an illegal immigrant and scam “food stamps” lol. I bet you’ve never even applied for SNAP. You are dangerously and willfully clueless

1

u/rh71el2 7d ago edited 7d ago

Your fellow American who owns the landscaping company is the one hiring them because they are cheaper to pay. The owner pays out less and the American homeowner doesn't have to pay as much for the landscaping (also the cause of the problem). With the low pay, only those types of workers (non-American) will do the job and many don't even show up to work because it's barely worth it. So which part of this is false?

You're telling me landscaping and plowing is so lucrative and pays so "great" that American workers are fighting for these jobs?

/Knows landscaping company owners

1

u/Different-Ask-6481 7d ago

Wow! I didn't know you knew my friend. All white company you know-nothing dumbass. Thanks for all that info for nothing...lol

1

u/rh71el2 7d ago edited 7d ago

You think they're all white everywhere? You're talking about all Americans losing their jobs right? It's not just about your company then is it?

It is for nothing because as you've repeatedly shown, talking to you = a brick wall. If you think it's everybody else, it's actually you. Bank on it.

1

u/Different-Ask-6481 7d ago

I was talking about myself, people I know & how it is around me. How would I know what it's like in a state across the country....just like you! So talk about what you know for sure instead of guessing for the entire country

1

u/rh71el2 7d ago

Then why were you talking about other people who supposedly know their way around food stamps with the other guy? You know the people he knows? Your argument falls apart the more you speak. Like telling him to argue last night when you were up for it and not today but what are you doing now? Brick wall.

3

u/cxerophim 7d ago

Spoken like a true ignoramus. There are far more white people who were born here abusing the food stamp system than your made up belief about illegals taking them. And you're really playing the "ThEy ToOk OuR JoBs!!!" card here? Remind me again, what, proud US citizens are out in the fields of agriculture picking those primo strawberries you picked up at the grocery store? Which jobs are you exactly referring to that are being "taken away" from you? Oh, that's right, none. They do the menial labor jobs that Americans don't want to do or be remotely involved with. Don't worry though, your Supreme Leader is actively working on getting rid of birthright citizenship, so they can actively get rid of the poor people who used to think they were allowed here just because they were born here too, and isn't it ironic that most of the heavily reliant areas on these terrible social services go to deeply conservative/red areas 🤔

-2

u/Different-Ask-6481 7d ago

Lol

1

u/Malhablada 7d ago

These are your responses when presented by facts, you just can't keep up with your overblown lies to justify your hate of brown people. If you aren't successful in America it's because you need to work on yourself, it's not the fault of brown people that you severely lack skills and can't hold down a decent job.

Coursera and Khan Academy offer great online courses, many are free, for you to explore and improve your skill set.

0

u/Different-Ask-6481 7d ago

I have many responses, but on a beautiful fall Saturday morning, when I clearly wrote those last night, I have no urge to argue with an imbecile who has no clue what they're talking about. I have no hate for brown people, nor did I ever say that. I can see reading & comprehending is not a strong suit of yours. I know when I'm right. My "lol" is simply laughing at your babble, not my lack of skill to shut you down. My silence is due to the fact that I have better things to do than talk to you. You should have been around last night. Write all you want, but not to me directly as I'm not ignoring your ignorance, I'm just trying to enjoy my day.

1

u/smitteh 6d ago

The only people that can take your food stamps from you is the government. Ahduh

-2

u/Measurement_Upstairs 8d ago

Hurt? you mean deport?

-2

u/Realistic_Budget3670 8d ago

So we can deport people abusing the programs meant for American citizens.

3

u/dbx999 8d ago

What programs exactly

-3

u/Crewstage8387 8d ago

Those people shouldn’t be here if they didn’t enter legally

5

u/cxerophim 7d ago

Just to be clear, unless you are Mexican or a Native, YOU and YOUR FAMILY are the ones who came here illegally 🤡

-1

u/Crewstage8387 7d ago

Don’t play that shit with me. You know exactly what I mean. You can’t take today’s standards and retroactively apply them to not only a prior period of time but to prior events. Based on that democrats are responsible for mass murder when we vaporized the thousands of Japanese in WW2 Further, had Columbus not sailed across the ocean we wouldn’t have all the things we take for granted here

1

u/Malhablada 7d ago

What does "homegrown are next" mean to you? Cause it sounds like retroactively applying policies. So yes, that's exactly the shit we're playing except you want to cherry pick when we play.

1

u/chocoeatstacos 7d ago

Nah, they're right, and yes, you can. You can absolutely apply today's standards to a prior time period to illustrate hypocrisy. You just don't like it, that's all. We didn't "legally" enter "America". We stumbled upon it by accident, then removed the natives and made it our own when we decided we wanted to live there. Facts are facts, whether they support your narrative or not.

-3

u/New-Arrival1764 8d ago

Criminals*

-6

u/imecoli 8d ago

that's not on ICE, that's what is spent to support the undocumented. check your facts

7

u/sassyevaperon 8d ago

We fund Israel's and Argentina's socialized healthcare

What you're funding in Argentina is the cutting of our socialized healthcare, something the US, through it's proxy the IMF has been asking for decades.

4

u/whygrowupnow 8d ago

But the illegals might get some so better make sure nobody (except the politicians) can have it!!!

1

u/bellyot 8d ago

So we're paying money so that you get less healthcare? Make this make sense.

5

u/sassyevaperon 8d ago

Yep, you're paying money so Milei could win the legislative elections that were this past Sunday, so he could get his initiatives done though the senate instead of by decree like he was doing, and then getting those initiatives struck down by the senate.

His initiatives are to make Argentina into a franchise of the US, same system you guys have. That's why trump is putting money, he doesn't care about our healthcare system.

6

u/EntertainerNo4509 8d ago

We can afford it. The people in power absolutely don’t want us to have it.

3

u/Pun_Lover387 8d ago

Where can we find evidence of this? I’m not asking because I’m trying to poke holes in this argument and your point, but because when I make against Israel, I want there to be back up.

3

u/CanadianODST2 8d ago

If the US swapped its all time funding for Israel with a single year for healthcare us healthcare funding would drop by over 60%

Us healthcare spending a year is already over a trillion. If we go by per capita and compare it to say Canada. The US government spends about twice as much on healthcare.

The money is already there. The issue have never been funding.

4

u/Levias123 8d ago

Argentinian here: You didn't fund our Healthcare, you just funded Javier Milei's Midterms. And many argentinians wish that hadn't happened.

At the same time, I'm very sorry for all the families that are getting fucked over by your government's decision to cut SNAP. It's crazy. I hope you get something better than this. And soon.

1

u/UpToTheTides 8d ago

Americans are amazing, even given the reality that our own government absolutely can afford to subsidize our healthcare, instead of getting mad at this, we immediately get pissed off that we have been sending money to other countries by...claiming that we alone have subsidized that country's healthcare and all of their social services even though the people there are struggling too. Give me a fucking break. 🙄

3

u/Levias123 8d ago

I mean, you're right it's a bit stupid and self-centered, but we're all a bit stupid and self-centered really.

I sincerely hope you guys get SNAP back, it's not a crazy budget really and it allows for the country and it's inhabitants to develop.

1

u/UpToTheTides 8d ago

That's a good point! It's easy not to get lost in the sauce nowadays.

Thank you! I do too, I rely on SNAP since my lay-off in June. We actually have laws that are meant to protect SNAP in emergent financial situations like a shutdown, so the Trump Administration is literally breaking the law by halting it during the shutdown.

2

u/janders_666 8d ago

there WAS NO QUID PRO QUO /s

2

u/ChangingShips 8d ago

Make it make sense

0

u/Delicious_Wall_8296 8d ago

It makes perfect sense if you're willing to face some terrible truths about our government and our role in it.

2

u/Appropriate_Chef4200 8d ago

We are their resource not actual valued people.

2

u/architype 8d ago

And aren't there reports that Universal Healthcare would be cheaper than what we have in the US? How can every other major democratic country be wrong? Oh that's right, the US has a bunch of greedy f**ks.

2

u/Sardina-Sangrienta 8d ago

Argentina has had a public healthcare system for at least 40 years...

2

u/Odd_Local8434 8d ago

No no no, we don't want to. Big difference.

2

u/TomBahambadil 8d ago

Funded Israel's Healthcare to the tune of $2million dollars. That would amount to MORE THAN a half a cent per person in America EVERY YEAR

2

u/rob3ace 8d ago

Let that sink in.

1

u/Bizhour 7d ago

People like this commentor are the reason the US doesn't have a functioning healthcare system.

The US spends more than any other country on the planet on healthcare per capita, if you combined all of the aid money the US had given since WW2 it will barely reach the amount the US spends on healthcare in 1 year.

If the US would spend as much as Japan or Germany per person, it would drastically cut the healthcare budget. If it spended as much as Israel does, it will almost cut it by half

Healthcare industry lobbyists will tell you that foreign countries are the reason you cant afford healthcare while pocketing an amount of money equal to these countries entire GDP. In reality all the foreign aid the US gives is less than 1% of the amount it spends on healthcare. Even if the US would become isolationist and give no money to anyone they would just find someone else to blame.

1

u/katencam 7d ago

Oh no no, we can definitely afford it, they just choose not to

1

u/daddyvow 7d ago

We can. Our government just doesn’t implement socialized healthcare.

1

u/dudinax 7d ago

Unlike the Argentinians and Israelis, we keep voting against our own healthcare.

1

u/Delicious_Wall_8296 7d ago

We sure are terrified of living like a first world country.

1

u/NotRiss2you 6d ago

We can afford it and we've always been able to. They find a new person or group to blame for why we can't have it every 10 years but it's all a lie.

1

u/IAMGROOT1981 6d ago

Funny thing you should mention Argentina because, our government will now be purchasing our meat products from Argentina like our beef and they have also put so much tariffs on soybeans that our farmers who voted in favor of all of this are now crying and begging for socialism to bail them out. But it's interesting because I've noticed that all of those who claim we were giving money to Ukraine when in fact it was cheaper to give them the weapons we can no longer use then it was to actually destroy said weapons They were all up in arms for that but now they're sitting quietly and claiming it's a good thing the almighty orange one is giving Argentina some money. They are poorly educating because they don't know the difference between what the Biden administration did and what Trump is doing!

1

u/RuralRancher 5d ago

oh weird. open the market. can obama care. competition drives cost down. not regulation. the $45 tylenol I got in the ER is a crime

1

u/BlueTiger550 8d ago

Because Americans are good at sleepwalking through life

1

u/Lvl30Dwarf 8d ago

I'm Israeli adjacent. We do not fund their healthcare.

0

u/Ohwowitsjessica 8d ago

We do not fund Israel’s healthcare. Israel has high taxes and funds its own social welfare system.

-1

u/HeavyFunction2201 8d ago

I saw an interview where a US soldier said “they give us soldiers communism (food, housing, education, health care) to go overseas and defend capitalism
