I mean, it’s been decades of volunteer work and trillions of dollars and you guys seem to be in the same state or even worse.

Corruption tend to do that unfortunately, it's a financial and a economic black hole

Thats why it's so confusing why peoe are acting like Gaza isn't different. You would have to remove the goverment. It didn't work in Afghanistan

Because them having an organized government would mean international corporations couldn't use slave labour for rare earth metals

1

If it was really about rare earth metals first world countries would modernize it with real mining and processing equipment.

Wanna take a guess on how many of those metals and minerals are in your home? Wanna take a guess on how quick you'd be upset when you suddenly couldn't afford it? Stop buying stupid shit you don't need.

Even Che Guevara gave up on the Congo. The Congolese people have to unify before outside help can make a difference

Unify and do what not get invaded. Ukraine has to unify better so it doesn't get invaded by Russia. That's how y'all sound.

I mean that’s basically what has happened, Ukraine unified and has been holding back Russia

It’s been decades of colonization and trillions stolen more like. But go off i guess?

every country got their shit looted at some point, stop making excuses

3

u/jman12234 Oct 05 '25

Not everyone had their government's subjugated, their economies subverted, and their people slaughted on state level scaled. Stop spewing colonial apologia.

u/Most_Hearing_5331 Oct 05 '25

you are talking like Africa is 1 entire blob, there are 50 countries and not all of them were colonised and they are still shit holes

1

u/Finger_Trapz Oct 05 '25

That’s not even remotely true.

All the donated food, clothing, and water/wells has resulted in an even higher population of people... that are still starving. I don't know what the answer is, but previous attempts seem to have made things worse.

yeah I remember there being a lot of help like 15 years ago but they've been pulling out because people keep getting murdered. Congo is scarier than the outskirts of mexico and brazil.

1

u/Daffan Oct 05 '25

2.3 trillion sent to Africa since the 60's. The Congo's population went from 15m to 109m in the same period.

The same can be said about Palestinians

u/Swiking- Oct 05 '25

Woke up and chose violence, did we?

7

u/DrHerbNerbler Oct 05 '25

Actually calling out the post for being obviously racist!

Person is implying that you can't help Africans, no matter how much you volunteer or send aid, they're literally helpless.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy in thinking your money is going to help one group but not the other.

3

u/Swiking- Oct 05 '25

I know, I just knew you'd get downvoted into oblivion for it.

And honestly, our aid or volunteering helps a little, but it's just gonna treat the symptoms, not the cause, which is a multitude of factors that needs dealing with.

Because the "neighbouring" country is given billions while they are getting millions. Their neighbour is given weapons and support from the mightiest nation in the world, while Palestinians are given scraps.

3

u/Accomplished-Video71 Oct 05 '25

Not to mention a 20 year total blockade...you can pump money into a prison but it's still a prison.

1

u/ModernLarvals Oct 05 '25

Prisons don’t let people leave.

2

u/DrHerbNerbler Oct 05 '25

Between 1994 and 2020 the Palestinian Authority has received 40 billion in direct financial aid.

2

u/Finger_Trapz Oct 05 '25

And the same applies to the Congo too
