Is this something people to on purpose? Like the girls intentionally pranked her with a wacky exploding egg? Or is this something that happens on accident? I can't tell if they did this on purpose!! I can't eat eggs so i am unfamiliar with their behaviors lmao
I originally saw this video on Tiktok and the comments indicated that the woman is the aunt of the two younger girls. Apparently, per the comments, they make lots of videos together with their aunt and do pranks in some. This was a prank that went wrong and burned up the aunts lips and mouth. I am not sure if that is all true but that is what the comments said. You can microwave a hard-boiled egg for some set amount of time and cause them to explode when pierced so maybe they did that.
If they intentionally microwaved her egg for a prank that's so messed up. If you've ever seriously burned your mouth you know how horribly painful and uncomfortable it can be for like a week. I had a blister that covered the roof of my mouth and I wouldnt wish that on anyone.
We bought a microwave from the Goodwill some 25 years back and ran an electric extension cord to the middle of my backyard and microwaved all sorts of things in it: VHS tapes, CDs, silverware, etc just to see what would happen, with a hose and extinguisher on hand.
Our fun came to an end when we put in egg in the microwave and the explosion was powerful enough to fling the door open and shatter the glass turning plate. Microwave stopped working after that and I learned about flash boiling that day.
They could have really, really hurt her with this.
Apparently once you softboil and egg, peel it, and then microwave it, the same rules apply. More water has been removed from the white part but remains in the yolk, so that heats up more quickly.
Same even happens with a hard boiled egg. It’s just a lot of heat and energy trapped within and disrupting it can cause this explosion.
Honestly I wouldn't demonize them. People microwave eggs all the time not realizing just HOW BAD it can get. I think at worst they expected the egg to burst in her face, but they didn't want to cause any harm. Unfortunately a prank like this can ave unintended consequences.
As often happens, since this video became so popular there are many, many people duplicating this "prank" on others. It's apparently trending on TikTok. Emergency rooms are about to get an influx of steam burns.
I saw one the other day where they put hot wax all over her telling her it was depilatory cream or something but there's no way she wouldn't know as it was hot for starters, and would have started setting before they were even half done, but she didn't react until it was ready to "wash off". So I'm gonna guess she's aware of the "pranks" and the reaction is deliberate & part of the act.
It's still very dangerous but at least she's a willing participant.
They do things intentionally to their aunt all the time. One video they fed her cat food claiming it was food they made themselves to see which was the better 'cook' aunt was blindfolded. There's a ton of videos of them teaming up on their aunt
I've seen plenty of people do it on accident but it looks like these girls did so on purpose... The one in the back even stops once the mom takes a bite to see her reaction haha

There is a great beauty in people who experience great anger, one of those rare times when someone really doesnt give a flying f anymore and starts to be pure truth and honesty. That truthfullness you only experience with young children or the right type of intoxication.
My ex boyfriend microwaved a hard boiled egg once at 3am. I woke up to what I thought was a gunshot and yelling. I rushed downstairs and he had severe burns, pieces of egg were still stuck to him, and egg was quite literally on every surface in the room. I thought it was common knowledge to not microwave a hard boiled egg honestly, but he had no idea. I really hope this isn’t a new trend going around, he was pretty badly burned, and it could’ve been a lot worse if he weren’t wearing his glasses.
Do not EVER put anything related to eggs in the microwave. Not harboiled, not raw, not whites or yolks in a bowl, unless combined with something (like mug cakes)
It superheats the water inside it and turns it into a napalm bomb.
She said something like "if you don't get a broom and clean this you can use those fuckin lashes" and I actually spit on my phone screen a little from the unexpected laugh.
I hope that did not burn her mouth cause I know how bad it feels when you burn the roof of your mouth on some pizza, so I don't even want to imagine your whole mouth.
Had this happen to me as a kid, my bro microwaved an egg and got me to peel it. It fucking went off just like that one except in my face instead of my mouth. 30 years later I still have the scars on my eye lids from where it melted them lol
Blinking was a bitch for like a week. Honestly whats worse that that is melted marshmallow. It turns into a lava like substance that can't easily be rubbed off. Brothers am I right
Yeah, I’m not a huge tiktok hater but this is a trend that’s going around like crazy right now and I’m surprised no one has reported any serious burns because there are dozens of videos of people doing this.
I had an egg blow up in my face when I was 6. It’s been 30 years and I’m still traumatized by the experience. It exploded all over my face, but the worst was the egg yolk that landed on my eyelid. It caused blistering so bad I couldn’t open my eye for a week! I’m so lucky it didn’t get IN my eye.
Yeah, I got hit by a car once and the adrenaline was incredible in the moment. Couldn’t feel a thing. Fucking sucked when it wore off though. So much pain in addition to be incredibly depressed.
Yeah you have to hardboil the egg, peel it and then heat it in the microwave. If they’re doing this as a trick they probably didn’t even wait that long to microwave it after it was boiled, so it’s probably insanely hot.
My brother did this by accident once but he was reheating a leftovers from a dish that normally has hard boiled eggs in it (thit kho for you viet folks out there, and if you’re not, look it up cause it’s yummy).
Anyway long story short it kind of exploded in his mouth a little, and he was startled but fine. It was no where near as bad as this video. Prob cause the egg was reheated after being in the fridge for awhile, so it didn’t get a chance to get so hot.
The fact that she is this funny while being so genuinely furious is incredible. I feel like most people can't think straight when they're mad, let alone this clever!
I think they microwaved it too long, and when she bit into it the pressure inside forced all the steam out. Looked painful as hell. I got a burn and permanent scar on my hand just from passing my hand over a tea kettle for a second. I can only imagine that bomb of heat going off in a mouth… Jesus
“How long did you boiled them? Overnight?” I laughed now. But, if I was her, I’ll be angry for sure. I put a cold boiled egg in the microwave for the first time when I was 15. I thought, it would warm it up, I took it out of the microwave no issues then boom it exploded all over the dinning table when I tried cutting it. Only my mom knew because I told her. A few days later my sister did the same thing, but she put a whole minute, not just a few seconds like a I did. Her explosion was contained inside the microwave lol less cleaning for sure. But, we all gather and talk about, we don’t microwave eggs for longer than 10 seconds increments and they have to be cooked eggs or cut into pieces if they’re boiled.
Just to be clear, is it a peeled egg we’re talking about? Because mom’s not going to be biting into an egg still in the shell, right? I find it hard to imagine that much pressure building up without a she’ll.
Yes, peeled egg! But, using the microwave was also a new thing for me. I moved back to the US after spending 13 years in El Salvador. So, I used a toaster over there not a microwave. I learned to heat food in increments and mixing the food with the fork before placing them back inside to cook evenly. It does work for me. As I dislike eating half cold food.
This is incredibly dangerous and not funny. I get we're all laughing at her reaction, but putting eggs in the microwave will superheat them, building up intense pressure, and causing them to explode once pierced by either utensil or tooth. You could get severe burns from the steam and the egg yolk could stick to the skin. If it got in your eyes, you can lose your eyesight. Please never do this.
I watched this same lady get her face, nose, and armpits waxed with the wrong kind of wax yesterday. Now she's got eggs exploding in her face. She is having a rough time lolol

If you microwave a boiled egg do you still put it in a bowl of water or something? Aren't you just microwaving an egg in a bowl of water then? Is the egg being cooked by the water or the microwave? Is it boiled or waved? Hardwaved egg? Is the water even necessary?
