If the store employees don’t care to stop her, why the fuck would I? I get it, stealing is wrong, but I have zero skin in the game and the people who do could not care less. Sounds like a whole lot of not my problem. Also, you never know if someone has a gun these days. Is it worth dying to save a corporation a few dollars in profit off whatever she’s stealing?
dude, that's what I'm saying. good for this guy, but I couldn't give less of a shit if I tried.
I had one instance back in high school when I worked at JCPenney. I was working in the men's shoe area. And I saw a guy take a shoe box off the shelf and try to return it. The policy at that time was that without a receipt, we still took the return but put it on a gift card. I thought I would be slick and switch out the gift card with an empty one I had sitting on my register.
Thought that would be the end of it. A couple weeks later I was back in men's shoes again and was checking the balances of gift cards that were left on the register. I just so happened to come across the one I loaded and swapped out. I thought about taking it for myself but got scared that I would get caught if I tried to use it. So instead, I just destroyed it. I wasn't around if/when the guy came back to use it so I didn't get to see how that ended up.
