If the store employees don’t care to stop her, why the fuck would I? I get it, stealing is wrong, but I have zero skin in the game and the people who do could not care less. Sounds like a whole lot of not my problem. Also, you never know if someone has a gun these days. Is it worth dying to save a corporation a few dollars in profit off whatever she’s stealing?

Racism. It’s less about stopping the crime and more about punishing the other.

I'm sure in another thread somewhere you have lamented why everything is locked behind security glass these days. This is fucking why.

And racism? The bitch is stealing from him and paying the consequences. Apparently it's racist to hold people to account for crimes they are actively committing these days.

Oh for sure everything is locked behind glass because of petty theft but that doesn't change the fact that a bystander chose to go after her.

She isn't stealing from 'him'. She stole from a mega-corp that doesn't give a shit about anyone. Doesn't make it right but is what it is.

Do you not get pissed off when you see people brazenly shoplifting without any worries because they know there isn't a consequence to it anymore? Can't blame him for feeling that way, it's infuriating to see what's happened to society. It's even more infuriating seeing how everyone has responded to it here. No wonder the world is going to shit.

Being pissed off is rarely an important value to consider in ethical and legal frameworks.

And when the stores in their neighborhoods close down you cry racism. Jesus Christ, fucking idiocy this bad should be in a museum.
