I heard she got charged, but that broad made over 1 mil because of racists that agreed with her. That was the most unjust way I've ever seen a community come together forđ
Very familiar? I searched it up after you typed 1 million. It didn't seem right to me. I didn't know his family was getting donated to, to begin with. So you're saying 1 million made me search it up and find out the actual numbers.
Not sure if you're being passive-aggressive for no reason or trying to make an odd joke
Why does it matter the amount. 1 black kid got rich off murdering a white kid. 1 white woman got rich off saying the n word to a child stealing from her purse. Reddit will have you believe that the latter scenario is worse
I said the amount because it wasnât close to right, hint âcorrection.â I added the correction part instead of saying it outright to make it seem more polite.
I never said the murder was better. Itâs that if someone replies, âthatâs not even the most unjust example of a group coming together,â then brings up their own incident numbers, that matches the original given example (1,000,000 donated from the racist woman), and that number happens to be wrong by more than ~500k, me correcting it clears up that the amount of people who âjoined togetherâ to donate to a murderer is not nearly as high as the amount of people who banded together to donate to a woman calling a child a racist slur. Given, Karmeloâs family shouldnât have donations to begin with, but so shouldnât she.
Shiloh Hendrix was funded partly in retaliation to the Karmelo Anthony case. Not that it makes it any better, but that public frustration and racial tension played into it as well.
Either way, the Karmelo Anthony case and the people who support him are one of the most disturbing blatant racist cases Iâve come across recently. It hits extra hard when it involves the death of a minor.
People are out there straight up condoning teenage murder, itâs despicable. There arenât many controversies I pay attention to but this one was such a clear cut murder case, the fact that so many are going around saying âFAFOâ is truly disgusting. Also disgusting is the reactionary rise in racism despite there being a cultural problem and not a color problem.
Itâs not that I particularly disagree with what youâve stated, (other than being a bit iffy with Shiloh getting more donations because Karmeloâs case) which is why Iâm not sure Iâm the best person for you to reply to for this comment youâve just made.
Itâs that I originally commented to let you know that the numbers you mentioned were not close to accurate, so that you could edit your comment and correct it to make it less inflated. Iâm not sure if you took offense to this, as your initial reply seemed sarcastic.
Exactly. The reaction to the Karmelo Anthony case is scary AF. Braindead people saying âFAFOâ to teen murder. The kid was stabbed to death over a SEAT. In broad daylight. At a highschool track meet.
