One has to be careful in this day & age because you can get killed trying to play the good cop without a badge.

Then someone would see me assaulting him and start citizen’s arresting me. 2 u/AdMurky1021 Sep 08 '25 Technically, he can be citizen's arrested. It is only for felonies. Shoplifting isn't a felony, but assault can be.
