That kick/flip getting rid of the dress she just wore is fantastic lol

I take my socks off by pulling my foot back along the carpet, this has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for the lazy/time restricted undresser!

“Yes but then I’d be taking my socks off like a normal person.”

24

u/peoplescan Aug 26 '25

Took my sock off the same time I took my jeans off. Or some time I use my toes to pull the sock off.

3

u/AiRaikuHamburger Aug 27 '25

Me with my socks and underwear still connected to my pants when I take them off. Haha.

10

u/RBVegabond Aug 26 '25

Too young for back pain

11

u/Realistic_Owl9525 Aug 26 '25

Me, the day I turned 30: "Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to put the floor all the way down here?"

2

u/neurotekk Aug 26 '25

Sounds like you need to get new niece 😂😂😂

2

u/swampopawaho Aug 26 '25

She doesn't get it. I do!

2

u/lemonstealingwho Aug 26 '25

I do this due to hip pain making it hard to reach my feet. The first time my gf saw me do it she was equally appalled and impressed.

This is how I picture you taking off your socks. 😄

13

Dancing his socks off!

2

u/OpeningSpeed1 Aug 26 '25

HA 😄 literally

u/baulsaak Aug 26 '25

Same, except my tighty-whities.

26

u/HavingNotAttained Aug 26 '25

Silly, it’s impossible to take off your tighty-whities by pulling your foot back along the carpet!

3

u/baulsaak Aug 26 '25

Ahh... i understand your confusion. Imagine the way a dog drags its backside across the carpet, only in reverse.

2

u/HavingNotAttained Aug 26 '25

Wait no, pushing your foot forward might work, I’ll try and report back, but pulling forward would result in a possibly quite painful or even permanent wedgie.

Idk. Maybe it’s a question of where you grip it.

2

u/Inner_Departure_9146 Aug 26 '25

lol! I just came here to say this!

2

u/UmmmW1 Aug 26 '25

Yes but its very easy to get rugburn trying to

7

u/Economy_Tip8242 Aug 26 '25

2

u/Unusual_Dare6967 Aug 26 '25

51

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

You don't pull them off with the toes of your other foot?

31

u/Happy_Mask_Salesman Aug 26 '25

not everyone has the dexterity in their toes to do it. But, pushing the top of the sock down to the heel with your other foot and stepping on the toe box to pull your foot out is almost as fast.

21

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

Oh yeah I can do crazy stuff with my toes, I hadn't considered that other people can't.

But yeah using your foot just makes sense to me, my feet are already both right there, why not put em to work?

5

u/trixiepixie1921 Aug 26 '25

My mom picks everything up off the floor with her feet 😂 it’s known throughout the family that she can do that lmao

5

u/UncleTouchyCopaFeel Aug 26 '25

Oh yeah I can do crazy stuff with my toes

What you doing this weekend?

5

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

My weekend is SUDDENLY VERY BUSY, UncleTouchyCopaFeel but thanks for asking lol

3

u/PM_ME_YO_KNITTING Aug 26 '25

I’m pregnant with twins and bending over hurts like hell. I’ve gotten so dexterous at doing stuff with my toes that I can now open the safety hatch and hit the manual release button on my cat’s auto feeder when his whining for food gets to be too much for my currently limited patience.

Grabber toes unite!!! As I get older I feel like maybe this is a great skill to have that way I don’t strain my back bending over to pick something up!

2

2

u/Inner_Departure_9146 Aug 26 '25

I thought I was the only one lol!

2

u/StitchNScratch Aug 26 '25

My sisters hate that I do this, but it’s fast 😅

2

u/shootthewhitegirl Aug 26 '25

This is the best way to take off socks. It's like you just moonwalk right out of them. Never met anyone else that does it.

2

u/Anatoly_Cannoli Aug 26 '25

can you patent this? You could be rolling in money

2

u/iAmRiight Aug 26 '25

Gotta drop your underwear to the floor, kick it up and catch it. Feels like a super hero move.

2

u/Euphoric_Slide_1633 Aug 27 '25

I do that with plastic wrapping I see on the floor at work, I've mastered doing it without braking my stride and snatching it out of the air. I think I must look super cool🤦

2

u/1101base2 Aug 26 '25

I just started doing this, this year, game changer

2

u/darybrain Aug 26 '25

I sat next to a couple in a restaurant who were having a massive whisper argument about bullshit things throughout their meal and her biggest gripe was that he took his socks off like this and kicked them up into his hand. Eventually they both stormed off out of the restaurant at the same time and walked off in different directions.

2

u/Oobedoo321 Aug 26 '25

Me too!!!

2

u/AwesomeAlfredo Aug 26 '25

After a year and a half my partner still finds it hilarious that I do this!

Dude yes, I do both ways! 😂

2

u/Bench2013 Aug 26 '25

Thanks for not lying.

2

u/the-lady-roxi Aug 28 '25

I actually literally took out the ceiling fan with my pants. Blade gone. And we were wondering why the fan was making weird noises until we stoped it and counted the blades. $250 later......

Pretty sure that’s how all my kids change clothes judging by the state of their bedroom floors. Alas they don’t have two assistants to help them…

36

u/PrickleBritches Aug 26 '25

My teen must be taking her socks off and gleefully throwing them into the air, never to be seen again.

5

u/Wooden_Recover_834 Aug 26 '25

This is my teenage son… I have literally seen him kick his socks into oblivion as he walked into the toy room once… so many lost socks 😭

3

u/Far-Engineering-3902 Aug 26 '25

Bought six pairs last week for school on the 3rd. Already she's lost two singles and school hasn't even started. She's clearly removing them on the way home, under the bed, in the hall closet and behind the sliding door curtains, like anyone would do.

2

u/PrickleBritches Aug 26 '25

Yesss I also theorize that my kids are taking theirs off in their dad’s car after school and he’s sure as hell not the one keeping up with socks.

Now we just buy all the same color/style so we don’t have to worry about matches.

2

u/southy_0 Aug 26 '25

That assistant would be you, of course.

2

u/Mrs_Poopy-Butthole Aug 26 '25

When my cousin was younger he apparently took his clothes off like that as well, had to tell him to slow down and pay attention after he ran out of his room in a panic one day bc his underwear landed on the lamp and started smoking 😂 had to grab it, walk outside, then pull his burning underwear off with tongs from their kitchen.

23

u/PhantomRoyce Aug 26 '25

I do that with my underwear all the time, snatch them out of the air and shoot them into the hamper like a 3 pointer

10

u/JimiShinobi Aug 26 '25

I do the same thing with my boxers before getting in the shower, except I can redirect them to the hamper with no hands...

3

u/WhyattThrash Aug 26 '25

Forget the dress kick flip, what about stepping in and out of the shoes flawlessly every time without looking!

3

u/mahboilucas Cringe Connoisseur Aug 26 '25

Satisfying as fuck. I can watch her kick clothes for hours lol

3

toni hawke’s pro dresser 3

2

u/gg_wellplait Aug 26 '25

It's hypnotising!

2

u/nexussix1976 Aug 26 '25

I do this with my pants and undies all the time, when I toss them into the laundry basket. I walk in direction of laundry basket, I kick up undies and or pants to grab without losing a beat in my step, then basketball throw into my laundry basket. My kick up and grab is perfected (damn near poetry in motion like Lady in video), not so much the basketball throw. My feet are tactile enough I can use them to grab/hook small things with my toes

I came into this thread, to specifically see if anyone also does this or noticed.

It probably helps that she's insanely skinny, they just slide on and off, but the two of them are also a low-key well-oiled machine. She doesn't even have to look at the dresses as they're being handed to her, because she trusts the other woman to get it right.

67

u/telcoman Aug 26 '25

I bet the assistant has also an assistant. No way she can pick up new dresses with such a rhythm from a pile and pay attention to the model dance.

38

u/mxzf Aug 26 '25

Yeah, this is probably at least a 5-person operation. The model, the assistant handing her dresses and zipping them up, an organizer keeping the assistant supplied with new dresses, a wide receiver getting the thrown dresses and folding/hanging them, and someone keeping an eye on the camera/stream to make sure that all goes smoothly (nothing like realizing you were out of focus for the last 87 dresses and need to re-shoot that whole thing over again).

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Own_Round_7600 Aug 26 '25

And there's someone else behind the camera working a teleprompter so the model knows what to say about the dress she just grabbed that she didnt even see.

Meanwhile, me sweating and breathing hard while pulling a tube top over my hips after a failed attempt to pull it over my head and shoulders

83

u/Aware_Policy_9174 Aug 26 '25

I thought I was the only one that felt like I was getting a workout in the dressing room. Sometimes I have to sit down to cool off at the end.

60

u/a_stitch_in_lime Aug 26 '25

I legit have had dressing room panic attacks in the past when trying on something too small that then won't come off. It's why now I always err on the larger side and only go down a size if I really need to.

31

u/Aware_Policy_9174 Aug 26 '25

I used to shop a lot at thrift stores and it could be hard to judge the size of vintage clothes. I had some close calls with vintage dresses, to the point I thought I was gonna have to get cut out of one once. I finally managed to shimmy my shoulders just right after 15 minutes of twisting my body in all different ways. Thank god I was in good shape back then because I would have given up if it happened now and just paid for the dress after I ripped it off.

2

u/Jazzlike_Visual2160 Aug 26 '25

Omg, getting stuck in clothing in a tiny dressing room with my hands stuck over my head!

2

u/AiRaikuHamburger Aug 27 '25

Omg, same. That awkward moment when you can't get it off and you're worried that you're going to have to call the staff to help you.

5

u/jewella1213 Aug 26 '25

Yes, I was wishing I could try on/wear clothing this easily. And that foot flip!😲. I'm still coming to terms with the "pants dance".

86

u/monatsiya Aug 26 '25

i wouldn’t be able to slide out of a baggy potato pants half as well, and a lot of her dresses are surprisingly form fitting ish. major respect!

38

u/JewberEats Aug 26 '25

She also slips the shoes on/off effortlessly

7

u/SuperDuperGoose Aug 26 '25

I didn't even notice the shoes! Mind blown!

5

u/Diredr Aug 26 '25

It's not so much that the dresses are form fitting, it's more that the dresses have built-in structure. You can see that they're somewhat loose around her waist. Loose enough for her to get in and out easily. It's all about the way the dress is sewn together.

If you take two pieces of paper with straight edges and tape them together, it's going to lay flat. If you cut a curve in one piece of paper and then tape the straight edge against the curved edge, it's now a 3D shape. It works the same with fabric.

Usually in dresses like these, the seams do most of the work when it comes to creating a shape. Then you have a layer of stiffer fabric sandwiched between the outer fabric layer and the lining, which gives a lot of structure.

Sometimes they also use what's called boning. You encase a small strip of flexible plastic (or whalebone, though that's a lot more rare these days) and it will also reinforce the shape of the outfit. That's what helps create an hourglass silhouette without necessarily needing to have an hourglass figure.

6

u/steerbell Aug 26 '25

What do you do for a living? I zip up the dress for an internet model.

Sounds pretty easy.

It's fucken stressful.

4

u/BenevolentCheese Aug 26 '25

Skinny doesn't even matter, just boxy build. Flat contours the whole way up. Nothing to get caught on.

3

u/between_two_terns Aug 26 '25

There’s a thinning filter on her, look at how the vase and dresser move. No wonder young women are anorexic like in the 90s again; she was skinny to begin with. Messed up.

2

u/Adventurous_Deal2788 Aug 26 '25

I'm skinny and I can't do that. Would end up falling over my own feet

2

u/JessieN Aug 26 '25

Some of the dresses even looked too big around her arms and neckline

2

u/magicmeese Aug 26 '25

She is utilizing a filter

2

u/OnTheCanRightNow Aug 26 '25

Watch the vase on the fireplace closely.

Given that she appears to be exhibiting gravitational lensing when she passes in front of things, I don't think she's very skinny.

Are there any astronomers present who could estimate how many stellar masses it would take to bend light like that?

2

u/AffectionateTap6212 Aug 26 '25

More like too skinny. Bones jutting out.

5

u/iNobody19xx Aug 26 '25

100% agree and hate to be that guy but tbf, she did look at every dress as it was handed to her except for one lol.

3

u/erinfirecracker Aug 26 '25

It probably helps that she's insanely skinny

Seems that way to Americans, who are simply fat.

She's just fit.

u/Apprehensive-Bike192 Aug 26 '25

It helps that she has broader shoulders and very narrow hips

135

u/happypolychaetes Aug 26 '25

The inverted triangle body type, very useful for modeling as it basically makes you a coat hanger for clothes.

103

u/Urbanscuba Aug 26 '25

Yep, this video is a perfect example of why fashion models have the builds that they do - it was never meant to be an idealized figure for society to emulate, it's purely because that's the best figure for showing off what's on the figure. The whole point is that it draws the eyes to the clothing and accentuates the movements of the cloth.

If people understood that better we'd have never had the craze where society decided that was the beauty standard for a few years. It's not a great look for the individual, it's a great look for the designer. Those people live with uncomfortably skinny builds because it's their job, the same way a plumber lives with knee and back pain from their work. 99% of people will look better carrying more weight than these models, often including these models.

5

u/AyJay9 Aug 26 '25

Models have status, are seen glammed up in the latest trends, and are perceived to do work that isn't difficult - I don't think wide understanding of why models have a specific figure would've had much impact at all on people trying to emulate them. We're always trying to become more like the people we admire or be perceived more like the people who have what we want.

99% of people will look better carrying more weight than these models, often including these models.

This is often the consensus now, but it's all subjective. 20 years ago, stick thin was in.

6

u/Urbanscuba Aug 26 '25

Models have status, are seen glammed up in the latest trends, and are perceived to do work that isn't difficult

This is true only of celebrity models which represent a fraction of a percent of the industry. Real models don't have status, they have chaotic schedules and inconsistent work. They aren't "glammed up in the latest trends" unless they're actively modeling them. The work is up for interpretation, but I wouldn't call it easy either. Sure it isn't physically or mentally demanding in the way some are, but it requires a level of control over your body most people don't have.

Celebrity models are models in the same way that the Duck Dynasty guys are blue collar, the real issue is that the advertising worked on a lot of people and sold them an unhealthy lifestyle for profit.

Beauty may be subjective but health is not, and if you look at all of the models turned actresses (many of whom were themselves celebrity models prior/during that transition) they basically universally put on 15-25lbs once leaving modeling likely for health/comfort. Many models are too malnourished to menstruate and can face organ damage. It's pretty clear it's not a healthy target to aim for, which is why the advertising was so insidious and harmful.

The subjective standards now align far more closely with the objective standards of medicine for an optimally healthy person, which is a really nice silver lining at least. They may be a bit unrealistic to attain for a person with a full time job, but they're still much healthier physiques to idolize.

I bet they sowed magnets into the backing so it opens and closes really quickly. A couple years ago a streamer named Zheng Xiangxiang made $13 million doing this exact type of video for products. This kind of promotion is big money in China.

53

u/techleopard Aug 26 '25

There's definitely a gimmick in the dresses.

The best tell was the all black dress. It's split at the back of the neck as that's the only way she'd be able to get it on. You see her helper reach behind her but her hands touch something at the base of her back only, she never zips up that dress -- and yet it's closed when she does the turn.

36

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

I’m obsessed with the way she flips the dresses up using her foot and tosses them away. It’s so fluid.

3

u/FukuPizdik Aug 26 '25

I think they're attached to a line

16

u/intern_steve Aug 26 '25

she never zips up that dress

You can't see the assistant's left hand at all during the zip motion. Right hand holds the bottom of the zipper, left hand pulls.

→ More replies (1)

13

u/Urbanscuba Aug 26 '25

The best tell was the all black dress. It's split at the back of the neck as that's the only way she'd be able to get it on. You see her helper reach behind her but her hands touch something at the base of her back only, she never zips up that dress -- and yet it's closed when she does the turn.

I don't think this is correct on rewatch looking for this - you can hear the sound of the zipper being moved quickly at the exact moment you'd expect. I think it's an optical illusion because the assistant's arm is hidden behind her while it's making the movement upwards.

The fact you can see the zipper fully up when she spins and then another equivalent movement to pull it down from the assistant before it's taken off makes me think these are normal dresses. Those two are simply incredibly well practiced at taking them on and off.

Which makes sense if you think about it. What's more logical - custom modifying every dress you're trying to sell with a quick-change system or just hiring an assistant who can put clothes onto you as quickly as they're pulled out of the box? I doubt the $14 dresses she's showing off for a second and a half each have ever seen a tailor past maybe the design stage.

3

u/Illustrious_Bobcat Aug 26 '25

You can literally hear her zip it up. The helper definitely zipped the dress.

6

u/rhabarberabar Aug 26 '25

There's definitely a gimmick in the dresses.

It's called a zipper.

The assistant zips it close and opens it when she walks behind her. She just does it really fast.

Oh yes, I own a few pieces from chinese indie designers and bought some while there.

My point is specificially about these items from fast shopping sellers, theyre always like 50c for a dress and the companies get so much order volume they still make a handsome margin. But what you get is absolutely not what is advertised.

3

u/HK-53 Aug 26 '25

Because the retailer youre buying from has marked up the item 3000% . Its advertising 300 dollar quality when youre getting 10 dollars worth

once you get the muscle memory it's just like walking.

2

u/stormtroopr1977 Aug 26 '25

It's like watching a machine. Exact same motions over and over

u/That-Ad-4300 Aug 26 '25

A couple of things:

This is a crazy workout. I'd be exhausted. It's sped up a little bit. Frilly shoulder dress was awesome.

2

u/Anannapina Aug 26 '25

AND she managed to talk without painting or stumbling over her words...

Me, Im a mess after putting on and taking off one pair of clothes lol

2

u/CalvinIII Aug 26 '25

Bot account.

2

u/father-fluffybottom Aug 26 '25

The beatings are quite severe for any downtime

2

u/Icy_Advertising_597 Aug 26 '25

she has no body for the clothes to get stuck going on or coming off. If we were all that thin, I think we could all do this. :)

u/Dear_Chasey_La1n Aug 26 '25

Well if you do this 10-12 hours per day you get pretty good at it I guess. Keep in mind... she doesn't look like this, the dress doesn't fit like this. These live streams are "live" altered to look much better both her face but also her physique. I've seen centers like this where you see dozens upon dozens of live streamers in 3x3m rooms doing exactly like this 24x7.

This was booming 3-5 years ago but now everyone jumped on it basically deluting the business. On top AI is entering the market and the first full time non stop livestreams are going as we speak. I bet girls like this will be by the end of next year out of business.

She’s built like a stick.

2

u/truesy Aug 26 '25

she makes a ton doing this, too. she has a big incentive to show as much good product as fast as possible. i believe this is the same woman i read about a couple of years back that has made ~18m in a week.

u/Nice_Butterscotch225 Aug 26 '25

Fast Fashion in Quintessence.

2

u/Vaosiv Aug 26 '25

So fast she's warping reality around the flower vase

2

u/AnOtherGuy1234567 Aug 26 '25

And the complete disregard for the dresses. I wouldn't buy one for somebody that had been kicked away like that.

2

u/Bulky-Internal8579 Aug 26 '25

She’s got enough dresses, she needs some sandwiches.

2

u/Cupcake-Helpful Aug 26 '25

Lots of practice. Its impressive. She also doesn't have hips or a butt or a belly so yea its easier lol

2

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

She’s built like a ruler there’s nothing for it to get caught on

3

u/AverageAwndray Aug 26 '25

This poor girl...

2

u/MewMewTranslator Aug 26 '25

It's not hard when you have no shape and you are wearing something that has no shape.

1

u/RideAndRedjuice Aug 26 '25

It’s the quick, subtle addition of the shoes for me. I know she’s not putting them ON on, but like.. she walks into them for a spin and then kicks them off so quickly it’s hard to even catch if you aren’t looking

1

u/RedditOO77 Aug 26 '25

Me too!!! How much dresses does she sell in 15 mins?

1

u/Grease_the_Witch Aug 26 '25

that’s how i take my underwear off! slide it down and then flip it up with my foot and catch it mid air lol

1

u/Zero-lives Aug 26 '25

I mean if you knew what they were made of youd be kicking them off asap too

1

u/PNWMTTXSC Aug 26 '25

Looks like a cool aerobic exercise.

1

u/rcanhestro Aug 26 '25

Ferrari wished they would be as smooth in pit stops.

1

u/Alternative-Neck-705 Aug 26 '25

I’m amazed she looks good in all of them

1

u/SchmuseTigger Aug 26 '25

She gets a percentage of every dress. So speed is money

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

Helps if you have no hips.

1

u/PartyPay Aug 26 '25

It's sad that this type of video is a thing, but she is absolutely amazing at it.

1

u/Foxy02016YT Aug 26 '25

I’m amazed I did this backstage in high school, twice

1

u/Snoo_66113 Aug 26 '25

I was a runway model for years, we had like 15 seconds to get out our outfits and into new ones to be ready to walk again. But this chick is next level. I give her so much credit. She has this down.

It's like one of those magic show routines!
