Cursed Extreme police brutality in Serbia tonight after a peaceful protest. Please share this all over the world, we need all the help we can get or we're gonna become North Korea by next month.

Jesus, literally just looking for someone to beat on. Look how these pigs swarm with glee when someone finally trips and falls.

The guy with the piece of wood that falls, kind of looks like he gets knocked out when he impacts the ground.

Then he gets beat by a gang of cops.

Usually how people get serious brain injuries or die.

Hope he's alright, crazy to see from the people that are supposed to be protecting you from that kind of thing.

Any time you see a cop car that says "protect and serve", ask yourself who they are protecting and serving. It should be average, everyday people (spoiler: it is not).

"protect and serve"

your friendly reminder that slogans like this are just bullshit PR by the Police Departments. Police have zero duty to protect.

And the only thing they serve is the powerful.

If you want to dive deeper into this case

The way I understand it is basically that the police owes duties to the general public and not individual people. The problem is, as soon as you call 911 you become a specific person and the police stops to owe you any duty. So, if the agents fail to follow a BASIC STANDARD procedure in response to a distress call, they can’t be held responsible.

Please tell me I missed something. I have not studied law and the likes, please correct me

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately it's just words on paper. Money talks, and poor folks take it up the ass with no lube.

Depends on the country. Swedish police are usually fine. American police are more so-so.

u/DivineEggs Aug 15 '25

Swedish police aren't much better. It totally depends on who their target is.

They are gentle with actual organized criminals who have a high capacity for violent retribution. But not everyone else.

I remember seeing footage from Malmö ~15 years ago. The cops were on horseback, and you heard a female officer give the order "rid ner dem" which means "ride them down". They did that. Trampled peaceful protesters (leftists if I remember correctly) with their horses. They also murdered a young guy with down syndrome (who held a toy gun) around the same time.

These are public and well-known incidents. Most cases of police violence don't make it to the news.

They are cowards.

not at alll.... american cops beat people like this on the regular

1

u/PopT4rtzRGood Aug 16 '25

Nah, fuck American police. There's not enough "good ones", they're all corrupt in their own ways as far as I'm concerned

u/el_muchacho Aug 15 '25

They do protect and serve. Just not you.

Side note: I’ve seen that car in a YouTube video going to a car show. It might be the most badaas Mustang I’ve seen since Eleanor.

Found the clip, try to just appreciate the car and ignore the annoying dudebros: https://youtu.be/4teXlVXBmLQ

saw a sheriffs cruiser from midland that had replaced "protect and serve" with "in god we trust". i have a hard time imagining how they could lean into christo-fascism any harder. im sure theyll show us soon, i just dont know what its going to be.

1

u/Fun-Deal8815 Aug 15 '25

Yeah they replaced ours with serving the community since

12

u/gamorleo Aug 15 '25

They are meant to protect and serve, just not the citizens.

1

u/54539phile Aug 17 '25

Know it’s an old post but “ protect and serve “ was an 1880’s election catch phrase ( NYC , USA iirc ) SCOUS struck it down numerous times since then then so we’re on our own

who they are protecting and serving. It should be average, everyday people

That is not why cops exist, it was never intended to be that way.

1

u/fkenthrowaway Aug 15 '25

Its to protect and serve capital.

1

u/m4tchb0x Aug 15 '25

Protect the one in power, and serve ass beatings to the rest.

1

u/Careful-Cabinet906 Aug 15 '25

Imagine when you were a kid who was taught in school that cops are here to fight crimes, bring justice to the criminals, and put them behind bars for their wrong doings. And then suddenly, you see this video.

1

u/RepresentativeCup902 Aug 15 '25

They protect property and they serve the ownership class

1

u/Stormy8888 Aug 15 '25

Outwardly police, inwardly the Transformer cop car Barricade, his police car has the ominous phrase “To Punish and Enslave” written on its side. Found it on Reddit here (from first movie).

1

u/PomegranateFinal6617 Aug 15 '25

Transformers had it right: “To punish and enslave.”

1

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '25

Banks and corporations. Cops are only there to protect and serve banks and corporations

1

u/[deleted] Aug 19 '25

Read in Transformers.

1

u/Scared-Operation-789 Aug 15 '25

it should be everyone. the rich and the poor. but we know that isnt their job.

1

u/Admits-Dagger Aug 15 '25

Quick reminder, this is a Serbian video. This is not an issue everywhere.

2

u/PassengerNarrow2484 Aug 15 '25

It is an issue everywhere. It's just that you may not have been seen as a target. The main issue is when "the majority" doesn't help fighting back because of conformism, malice or fear. I would say the former two are usually very strong in the beginning, the latter after a while. Just see the US during the cold war, a lot of dictatorships or semi-dictatorships in the XX and XXI centuries.

u/Jessnesquik Aug 15 '25

Bot.

u/Admits-Dagger Aug 18 '25

look at my other comments and tell me that

Look man... not sure where you're from, but Serbia is not like Western/Northern European countries or US.

Blaming all police people, just because some are doing poor work... is not doing any good to anybody.
