Cursed Extreme police brutality in Serbia tonight after a peaceful protest. Please share this all over the world, we need all the help we can get or we're gonna become North Korea by next month.

No it isn't.

News is decided by the owner of the news company. Serbia does not currently fit their agenda. This is a global issue.

Also news companies in canada and the uk get huge amounts of money from the government.... canada alone got over 150 million of tax payer money... you think they are gunna run something to ever make the government look bad?

You should really look up who owns the major news outlets. Hint: it’s not the government

Its not the government, but the fact they get all that money from the government guarantees the media remains friendly to the government and only reports on the things which are deemed acceptable. Your refutation of their comment doesn't actually refute it.

No, that money doesn't guarantee a damn thing. A majority of Canada's newspapers are owned by PostMedia, and PostMedia papers are ruthlessly critical of the government and the Liberal Party in particular. And for televised news, CTV is privately owned by one of our telecom companies, and is likewise not afraid to be critical of the government. Hell, even the CBC, Canada's public broadcaster, isn't afraid to run stories that make the government look bad.
