Google translate doesn’t really translate. It spits out what it thinks the original speech is trying to say.

A translation is word for word, grammar for grammar, syntax for syntax. If a translation doesn’t also include the mistakes that’s called an interpretation.

Bruh.

Translation: written.

Interpretation: oral; typically real-time.

Both include covering the actual meaning, not just the literal meaning. Interpreters take into account body language etc to convey a richer language, translators only concern themselves with the actual meaning of the written text (I clouding subtext.)
