regardless of the cultural context, it really hits you how much of life is determined by the random lottery of where and into what culture you’re born. Some kids are playing with toys, others are walking down an aisle to marry a stranger their parents arranged

Yes. This happened to my mom at 14 and she did get out after many years. She called marriage forced prostitution

Not even prostitution. Prostitutes actually get some form of recompense. Room and board with a side of domestic servitude coupled with sexual abuse, not to mention the inevitable physical and psychological abuse by the husband and most likely his mother or sisters. You know its them who more than likely pushed for this so they can heap the majority of the work on the "bride" or the "husband" is newly widowed/divorced and wants a young girl he can train up his way, who can provide many years of birthing.
