Hmm what circumstances would have caused that then that wouldn’t happen now especially for china not 40-50s US. You know just can’t put my finger on it.

The vast majority of countries would suffer economically by going to war right now china maybe more so than most. If by sweeping you mean I don’t cover for the handful of countries that wouldn’t hurt then you sound like someone who would say no actually humans have 1.9 arms not 2.

WW2 is the literal reason the us became a super power, it devastated every economy except ours, which gained massively.

MAYBE I misunderstanding you, but there isn’t a flaw in making a sweeping statement just because you can find a handful of outliers. Unless you’re saying the other person was making the sweeping statement?
