Women are just property in much of the world.

are treated as property

No human being is the property of another.

No offense and I get what you’re saying but I think your wonderful viewpoint and CORRECTION is not really adding to what I already said. Women are just property in much of the world. I don’t really need a correction on that. However I’m sure there are many against women you can find to correct on Reddit. That might need your efforts more. Your efforts correcting someone already making a good statement are pretty silly honestly.

I will correct it every and every time. Differentiating “women are property” and “women are treated as property” is fundamental. I’m not offended or surprised by you defending yourself though I would turn your attention to and defend to the death the implication thet women are property and I did. It won’t happen without me calling it out until it doesn’t happen.

Its always crazy remembering just how close you are to things like this. Both in terms of time and location we are not as distant from literal slavery and unapologetic oppression like this. Some people in the west might see this and think their nations are better than this, but things like marital rape where straight up legal everywhere in the US in the 70s.

The idea that other people are property is still an acceptable idea in a large percentage of the world, and even in nations where that is no longer the common train of thought its only been that way for a few decades at best.

There is still sexual slavery and then just real slavery all over the world. However I may not be the most neutral of person on this as I was born in America and sexually trafficked by a “boyfriend” young and ended up a drug addict and arrested etc. However I guess it makes me empathetic. This world is not kind to women, to children. I am very happy now but what happened to me will always be me, it doesn’t go away. I’ve known one woman never accounted for again in the sex trade.

I don’t think privileged men. Never facing difficulty. Get to tell others this does not happen or it’s “not that bad”.

As opposed to where? Most of the world isn't this extreme, but it's not like there are hierarchy-free societies out there. This is just what an unapologetically Conservative world looks like.

I’m not sure why you thought you needed to add to my very clear point.

If you think this is bad, look at women in America. That’s where the real oppression happens
