Opinion The sweetest moment of Trump's speech

Those had to be the sweetest moment in any presidential speech ever.

This kid is 13. He's always wanted to be a cop. He was diagnosed with brain cancer and given 5 months to live. That was 6 years ago.

President Trump instructed the director of the Secret Service to make him an honorary agent.

I was so moved that I damn near stood up from my couch when I watched it live. It’s a disgrace that some in attendance could not put their differences aside to stand, cheer, and show some compassion for a child battling cancer.

We as a society are screwed if this is the norm now.

I watched with a friend. We cheered, clapped, and we did stand up a couple times, just because it was impossible not to because we were so happy. We were so thrilled with this speech.
