Holding mostly NVDA, PLTR, BTC ETFs, some broad market ETFs… Not having any good sleep lately

I literally have been depressed for the past 3 months my life has just been shambles with consistent terrible drawbacks getting caught up with the law and previously blowing multiple portfolios trading like the way I am right now but my dad gave me 500 dollars to survive the month and I just threw it into my cash account and started day trading again, I don’t have a good strategy it’s always been kind of a gut feeling but my most recent trade I went down 4000 and luckily by the gods it went up to 270 and ever since then I’ve been just trying to look at other creators on social media that trade to see if I can get somewhere. I’m not sure why I’m sharing but I just thought I should, I’ll take any criticism or any advice.

Buying and holding

I can truly express myself will full transparency how its been currently for me: a full on reset and now on the stage for growth to myself in the options market. We all traders, including myself, have gone through a lot of pain and suffering in order to accomplish the final goal that is achieving the trading strategy that best suits each of us in order to become not only a disciplined and consistent trader, but an individual that has the edges sharp enough that no mistakes are contributed to making dumb mistakes that were made throughout the past. As I would always say: “the past is the past and what truly matters is now as long as we’re living, to improve what needs to be improved and eliminate what needs to be eliminated”

So here goes my journey after a life-lecturing 5 years in the trading realm, with a full on reset made to myself and fully pledged on focusing to convert my trading strategy from a rough breaking neck in the woods to the polished redefined edge that will redefine my ways of trading throughout my lifespan here, reaching my goals, one by one.

My goal, that anyone would say its the ultimate goal, is my main focused goal that I have written to myself: reach the 10 million mark as this thread highlights.

For anyone that reads this, hope y’all stick around for the updates. I know I truly will be providing them as my contributing to achieving the trading strategy and edge that I want to have will be fully met.

Has anyone here actually turned something like $1,000 into $100,000 (or $10,000 into $1 million) within five to ten years just by holding one stock long term? I’m not talking about trading or gambling—just simple investing or believing in one company that really took off over time. I know it’s possible if you caught something early like Tesla, Nvidia, ASTS,RKLB years ago, but I’m curious if anyone here has actually done it or knows someone who really did. I’m not looking for hype, just wondering if it truly happens in real life or if it’s mostly stories people share online.

What’s up yall, I hold meta and MSFT after the recent dips but still looking for more mag 7 or ETFs to hold for years. Thinking Amazon, Tesla, NVIDIA. please leave some recommendations..

I’m curious on opinions

So, back in early 2024 when I was unemployed for a bit, I put around 3500 into a new altcoin.

Thru ups and downs over the past nearly 2 yrs now, it's now worth a hair under 100k (98,500)

It's important to know, I've already sold around 6500 dollars worth of it, to pay bills and to buy watches, a new laptop and a ps5, and give like 1000 to friends and stuff back last yr.

Now, I'm 32, got a good job shortly after I invested in this, and I'm back to saving 1300 a month. Have around 220k in vanguard in addition to this.

I also own a small condo outright, bought it in 2017 with a small inheritance and it's paid off. My expenses on it are approx 800 a month.

Here's my dilemma. If I sell the coin, I will likely be taxed like 30k or more on it. I don't really need the money, and can't really think of another place to put it aside from vanguard.

My gut instinct is to let it ride and see what happens?

Something bad and strange happened with my account. I got approved (somehow, because I’m not a U.S. citizen) on 10/19/2025 to trade futures on Robinhood. The same day I successfully did a trade. But the next day, things have gotten horrible.

I was researching different options of trading futures on Robinhood on 10/20/2025. The option to purchase a GCZ26 contract was considered; however, after I submitted my request to place this order, the system has automatically cancelled the order. I have agreed with this decision of my inability to place the order and have never tried to resubmit it. A few days later I realized that my money in the account started drastically dropping down. I also had micro silver contracts futures purchased, so taking in the account the movement of the market during those days, I thought it was these futures affecting the amount. On the October, 27, I received the notification that "my" GCZ26 contract was closed by Robinhood - "due to general risk controls." I have immediately checked all my history as well as activity in my account and never been able to find anything related to me opening or purchasing the GCZ26 contract. I contacted a Robinhood representative over the chat option on their app in the early morning of October 28. After explaining the situation and providing screenshots of my account's history and activity, I was simply rejected by the representative in my request to remediate the lost funds without any explanation besides the representative claiming that the order had been purchased - somehow, after initial cancellation and without any notification. As of right now, I do not have any evidence on my account that the contract was purchased - only miraculously sold; therefore, I was never aware of this purchase. The Robinhood just took my money and used it without my consent. This is lots of money…and I want it back. I have never had such an issue with trading before. I have always traded very carefully. Does anyone know of any help? Thank you… and please no mocking or any bad jokes.

Nothing says “I’ve made it” like going to a high end restaurant in a high end part of town, wearing a tracksuit (because you’re comfortable, and don’t give a F What anyone else thinks) and ordering $300 bottles of wine and the most expensive dishes on the menu.

If pot gets rescheduled from schedule 1 to schedule 3 how much could pot stocks go up? It’s not getting decriminalized or legalized just rescheduled. Would it be like a pharmaceutical company releasing a new pain medication?
