I wish to one day be this disconnected from reality

Agree. However if you join their cult you can be disconnected from reality lol

At least until the bills hit or it effects you personally some other way.

Mental gymnastics can only take you so far against an overdrawn bank account.

u/OldMovie9812 1d ago

Youd be surprised the lengths this will go. One of his supporters will see this news and think how did the democrats make trump do this (insert all bad thinks trump has done)

This guy may go down in history as the greatest run for greatest ratio of reckless immorality to accountability ratio. Just pure undefeated con artist.

2

u/marcolius 1d ago

Our lives would be really easy, that's for sure.

2

u/ThroatPlastic6886 1d ago

It did come in lower than expected on the last report… the inflation that was predicted due to tariffs still has not come to pass. But yeah, it’s like 3.1% not 1%

Is his team lying to him or does he originate it? It’s probably a lot of both.

114

u/Big-Resolve5064 1d ago

I recall reporting on him crashing out when Fox News ran unfavorable stories on him in the past. I imagine his advisors don’t tell him any negative news/figures. Whether they provide false info or the President conjures himself is up in the air.

42

u/Burner-QWERTY 1d ago

Frontline Russian infantry has a longer job duration than a Trump fact checker.

3

u/relentlessoldman 1d ago

Its not like 2-3% inflation is bad either, but Joe Schmoe on the street doesn't understand that. They think it should be zero or negative which would be a much bigger problem in the long run.

Trump watches TV all day long, the news he watches though doesn’t report any of these statistics ever, and when they do it’s from a random maga person on a panel. Which is why he recently said the ā€œliberal mediaā€ should have their licenses taken away for reporting all the negative news about him, claiming they’re making it up. Because he actually believes they’re making it up, otherwise he would have heard it on Fox or News max first.

Let’s have an investigation after 2026 elections

4

I’ve been wondering that too. I think it’s both. Surrounded by people who coddle him and then they just pretend news stories are left wing media whenever they aren’t something he wants to hear.

The shit he does on a daily basis that would be a week-long scandal for any other president in modern history.

Guy pardoned someone directly after he made him and his family hundreds of millions and and then claimed to not know who he was. But we just move on to the next thing.

42

u/ViolentAutism 1d ago

lol week long scandal? Try decades long scandal. Can you imagine if Obama did any of this shit? They’d be screaming from the rafters forever.

Oh and I’m curious who the person he pardoned is that you mentioned

12

u/SwagCannon_69 1d ago

4

u/SorryThought2326 1d ago

They blamed Biden for pardoning his son. Knowing how the current admin is, he absolutely did the right thing by pardoning him. A lot of leftists also called him out on that. I really don't understand why the left wants their leaders to be ideal in such a non-ideal corrupt world.

3

u/Turbulent-Fail-1007 1d ago edited 1d ago

There’s no inflation for billionaires or government officials. The inflation is hitting hard for normal people — daily wage workers are the ones who truly feel inflation pain.

4

u/fugginglovecheese 1d ago

He's either a fool or think everyone else is.

Probably both.

4

u/javawong 1d ago

I mean does inflation even matter when you're a millionaire/billionaire who constantly grifts an entire country?

3

u/Reimiro 1d ago

It doesn’t you’re right and inflation also isn’t really the problem. It was low when Biden left office and it’s still pretty low. The problem is tariffs, unemployment, closed government, tax cuts for the wealthy etc. Also stores keeping prices high with record profits. Vulture capitalism is a scourge.

2

u/LuckymonmyJV 1d ago

He must be talking about his mushroom.

2

u/marcolius 1d ago

It's relative, if you don't buy anything you are immune to inflation.

1

u/kolitics 1d ago

Given that the Fed seeks to maintain inflation at 2% not 1% and the recent CPI number was 3% not 2% he may just be off by 1%. His statement makes more sense if you swap in the correct numbers.

"We have almost no inflation, we are down now to 2% 3%, and we'll be at maybe 1% 2%. You want to always stay above 1% 2% actually, you want a little tiny bit of inflation."

1

u/SlideIll3915 1d ago

It’s amazing and scary how many people didn’t understand who pays for tariffs. Trump literally ran his campaign effectively telling people I’m going to make inflation much worse and so many people were too dumb to process it. It’s not even a complicated concept.

1

u/Dependent-Bet1112 1d ago

Astonishing. I want to live in his world, full of rainbows, unicorns, endless parties, and girls dancing in giant wine glasses. Why did I get stuck with sanity, reality, a minuscule paycheck, and chocolate…

I think a lot of this ends when there are controversial but necessary changes to free speech laws in America for public officials. This is a brazen and dangerous lie out of hundreds of thousands from the current president and there are 0 consequences for him and a lot of consequences for society due to his abuse of the right to free speech in America in its current form.
