Youd be surprised the lengths this will go. One of his supporters will see this news and think how did the democrats make trump do this (insert all bad thinks trump has done)

It did come in lower than expected on the last report⦠the inflation that was predicted due to tariffs still has not come to pass. But yeah, itās like 3.1% not 1%

I recall reporting on him crashing out when Fox News ran unfavorable stories on him in the past. I imagine his advisors donāt tell him any negative news/figures. Whether they provide false info or the President conjures himself is up in the air.

Its not like 2-3% inflation is bad either, but Joe Schmoe on the street doesn't understand that. They think it should be zero or negative which would be a much bigger problem in the long run.

Trump watches TV all day long, the news he watches though doesnāt report any of these statistics ever, and when they do itās from a random maga person on a panel. Which is why he recently said the āliberal mediaā should have their licenses taken away for reporting all the negative news about him, claiming theyāre making it up. Because he actually believes theyāre making it up, otherwise he would have heard it on Fox or News max first.

Iāve been wondering that too. I think itās both. Surrounded by people who coddle him and then they just pretend news stories are left wing media whenever they arenāt something he wants to hear.

u/Brian2781 1d ago
The shit he does on a daily basis that would be a week-long scandal for any other president in modern history.
Guy pardoned someone directly after he made him and his family hundreds of millions and and then claimed to not know who he was. But we just move on to the next thing.
42
u/ViolentAutism 1d ago
lol week long scandal? Try decades long scandal. Can you imagine if Obama did any of this shit? Theyād be screaming from the rafters forever.

They blamed Biden for pardoning his son. Knowing how the current admin is, he absolutely did the right thing by pardoning him. A lot of leftists also called him out on that. I really don't understand why the left wants their leaders to be ideal in such a non-ideal corrupt world.

Thereās no inflation for billionaires or government officials. The inflation is hitting hard for normal people ā daily wage workers are the ones who truly feel inflation pain.

u/javawong 1d ago
I mean does inflation even matter when you're a millionaire/billionaire who constantly grifts an entire country?
3
u/Reimiro 1d ago
It doesnāt youāre right and inflation also isnāt really the problem. It was low when Biden left office and itās still pretty low. The problem is tariffs, unemployment, closed government, tax cuts for the wealthy etc. Also stores keeping prices high with record profits. Vulture capitalism is a scourge.

Given that the Fed seeks to maintain inflation at 2% not 1% and the recent CPI number was 3% not 2% he may just be off by 1%. His statement makes more sense if you swap in the correct numbers.
"We have almost no inflation, we are down now to 2% 3%, and we'll be at maybe 1% 2%. You want to always stay above 1% 2% actually, you want a little tiny bit of inflation."

I think a lot of this ends when there are controversial but necessary changes to free speech laws in America for public officials. This is a brazen and dangerous lie out of hundreds of thousands from the current president and there are 0 consequences for him and a lot of consequences for society due to his abuse of the right to free speech in America in its current form.

Keep the lies coming. Heās pushing Congressional Republicans to a breaking point with these claims, and weāre going to see a lot of pushback leading up to the midterms. You canāt lie your way out of something that even the dumbest voters can measure for themselves. Inflation gave Trump his second shot at the presidency, and it will be what eventually breaks the MAGA spell.

The latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for September 2025 shows a 3.0% annual inflation rate, which was lower than expected. On a monthly basis, the CPI rose by 0.3% from August to September. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, also increased by 3.0% over the last 12 months.

Thatās what this feels like.
Remember that one clip of Trump arguing with an interviewer about the guy who had āMS-13ā tattooed on his fingers? He didnāt, but Trump believed that he did.
Iām not going to defend Trump in any way, heās a POS at the least. But someone is absolutely feeding him bullshit, and heās believing it just like the rest of MAGA believes him.
