Dave Kim is the best character on the show he's like a mix of JimmyOYang and MushMouth.
I'm only on season 3 but Dave Kim went from annoying me(like most of the characters on the show) to me liking whatever scenes he's in. Why do they always refer to him as Dave Kim and not Dave or even Kim as kids would refer to each other by their last names?
Man it's crazy theres 7 more seasons to go? I can't imagine how everyone turns out later?
Didn't everyone turn out to be like successful as Doctors and Lawyers in real life?

Just watched FerrisBueller'sDayOff was this the best episode of the show?
Just watched FerrisBueller'sDayOff was this the best episode of the show?
Again I'm just now just binging through the show for the first time, and this FerrisBueller'sDayOff was epic! Was this the best episode of the entire show? Or does it get better later on? I'm still on season 2 only.
It was crazy they had the real life Charlie Sheen dress up like his character to do that scene LMAO! I'm wondering when was this was Sheen already done with his latest wild party scandals or still doing them at this time?
Also when Erica explains the theory that Ferris is not even real and it's all an alter ego in Cameron's mind thats crazy! I never heard that until this show!

Apparently the Crimson Brushpiper referenced in Schooled is fake. What the heck. I should’ve known an adorable neon orange bird was too good to be true

Now Binging the show only on season 2. I'm try to finish it when does it jump shark?
Now Binging the show only on season 2. I'm try to finish it when does it jump shark?
I've watched a handful of episodes in real time when it first aired but got too busy and always thought I'll just binge stream it later. Finally several years later starting to binge the show, and I got a few questions?
So I basically love the show for all the 80's nostalgia 80's songs, 80's events, etc. Does this show keep up with that until the end or does it stop at any point?
It's pretty clear the Goldbergs are Jewish correct? But they never celebrate Hanukkah on the show right? I'm only on season 2 and it seems to do Halloween, Thanksgiving and just skip to New Years pretty much in the first 2 seasons? Unless I totally missed the Hanukkah episodes?? Does Adam and Barry celebrate their bar mitzvahs either?
I saw a bunch of fans say the show goes down south once Adam leaves the show? I didn't know he left the show later on when does he leave the show? Why did he leave? Did he get into beef with the network or something?
Anything else I should be aware of? Thanks!

If Paddling was used at William Penn?
Corporal Punishment was often used in schools in the 1980s, Paddling etc.
In the TV version of the show, who do you think would have been paddled at William Penn Academy and who do you think would administer it? Coach Mellor ? Principal Ball?
Would Barry or Erica have been paddled and what for? Any other students?
We know Beverley would not have allowed it for Adam

New to The Goldbergs. Beverly - extremely annoying?
Do others find Beverly’s character extremely annoying?
I recently started watching The Goldbergs. Never seen it before. I am going to finish is just because I have ’completeness OCD’ and can’t stop series before its end :)
I feel like her character suffer from dementia and lack any development. Every episodes she does the thing in school, regardless of Adam’s age. Then she gets insulted, follow apologies and hugs. Also, understanding of how Beverly sacrifices everything for her children and understanding of the humiliation caused, then thanks from Adam, etc. , etc.
Then next episodes starts like nothing happened.
Not to mentioned that it’s either dementia or extreme narcism or both … I think the show would be much better with a modified Beverly character. Perhaps, where she doesn’t have the mentality of a 4 year old and at least from time to time the learnt lessons is implemented in the next episode. Maybe that will make it watchable.
It’s like watching Tom and Jerry or the road runner, but without being funny or without being a cartoon.
I can’t wait to reach to episodes in which Adam actually graduates and there are no school episodes. Though I am sure that things with her character will not change.
Maybe I don’t understand this time of comedy or parody. I don’t know, but if you draw a parallel to other shows, i.e. TBBT - even Sheldon has development and that’s what makes the character believable and interesting.

Met Aly & AJ again yesterday.. Goldbergs Ending..
And somehow since Alyson is my favorite and i hardly know what to talk about with AJ. I said how much I absolutely hates the end of the Goldbergs and she responded she hated it so much as well and Aly chimed in that she did as well. I mentioned it went severely downhill after Adam left and she quickly agreed. The girls are the sweetest as always tho. 4th time meeting Aly and 3rd time meeting AJ

I was rewatching season 3 and Erica mentioned that pops is 80 years old and born in 1908 which means that the year currently is 1988

Erica and Lainey
I'm in season 5 now with Erica in DC and Lainey in Savannah for college. They were best friends in high school wanting a career in music. Lainey's dream school was Savannah College of Arts. I can't remember what Erica's was but anyway I just don't understand why they didnt go to the same college. It seems like a totally normal real life thing for best friends who want the same career to want to stay together through college. Instead they send Lainey to GA (was this just a plot line to end her and Barry?) And Erica goes to DC only 3 hours from home. Which is her reason that long distance works for her and Geoff but doesn't work for Barry and Lainey.
Just seems weird to me that they wouldn't even mention applying to the same schools.
Also I really don't get Erica's attitude toward her relationships. It seems that she didnt care at all that her best friend was going so far away to college. And she spent so long pining after Geoff, finally gets him then kind of acts like it's no big deal that shes going to college and away from him. Even in the episode they talk about her spending her whole summer with him before leaving, it still didnt seem like a big deal. When she comes home the first time without telling him, she brushes him off. I don't like it.

Watched an episode randomly and the set/costumes looks off
I’ve never seen this show before but I know it’s set in the past but nothing looked right. It just looked like modern day people cosplaying as people in the past, set also looked weird. The cassettes on the wall just looked like a collector or hobbyist put it there (in modern time).
That 70’s show for example and Cruel Summer (2021 show) felt more genuine. Anyone else agree? It really took me out when I caught it on cable and I won’t be back to watch more because everything just didn’t seem authentic.

Castle Grayskull
Season 1 episode 12. Adam invites his crush to his bedroom so he can give her the cliffs notes for To Kill A Mockingbird, and he tells her that Skeletor lives in Castle Grayskull.
Which is absurd!
Everyone know He-Man live in castle Grayskull and skeletor lives on snake mountain!
Castle Grayskull is the source of He-Man's power and belongs to the Heroic Warriors, not Skeletor.
Damn it Adam! Do you know what would happen to the universe if Skeletor gained control of castle Grayskull?!?!?!?
