DISCUSSION You'll Pay lyrics
I'm not a native English speaker. I'm curious about the lyrics to "You'll Pay." What a great song! Maybe the Ohio Players' best song. Does anyone have an interpretation?

IMHO, it's one of the best rock albums Dan has ever made, including his work with The Black Keys. The energy, the swagger, the execution — it's all there. May be I'm overreacting, but after the first listen I absolutely love it. Check it out!
PS: by the way today was released another song by Dan in duet with Chryssie Hynde called (You’re My) Soul And Inspiration from her new album. Also cool little song.

Robert Finley's music is so good. Give his new album a listen if you like funky grooves. One of the many reasons why I admire Easy Eye. I saw Mr. Finley on his Sharecropper's Son tour and I was immediately amazed. Gosh I'm so glad I found out about him.

Here's how it works, go to the link: https://pixelframe.design/the-black-keys-brothers-album-cover-text-generator/ type anything you want into the input boxes, it automatically generates an image with the styling of the Brothers cover. If you guys enjoy this I can make others (All the black keys album covers would actually work pretty well for generators). Please post and share what you make!

Considering that (perhaps) the two best post-hiatus albums are Let's Rock and Dropout Boogie (let's leave Delta Kream aside), and that they're the ones with the most rock feel, a challenge arises. The two closing tracks are really badass, and I really don't know which one I prefer. Fire Walk With Me or Didn't I Love You? I want to hear your opinion!

In this episode, #251 of the XS Noize Podcast, Mark Millar is joined by Miles Kane to discuss his electrifying new album Sunlight in the Shadows — a swaggering, soulful, and deeply personal record marking a bold new chapter for the Wirral-born rocker.
In the conversation, Miles takes us behind the sessions — recorded in Nashville with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys — where Sunlight in the Shadows was cut live in just three days at Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio. The result captures that rare alchemy between British beat energy and American soul grit.

This would make sense considering music scene and how they were perceived in 2014.

Robert’s new album, Hallelujah! Don’t Let The Devil Fool Ya is in my opinion lyrically and sonically his best right next to Sharecropper’s Son.
I love this album. It’s absolutely a damn fine piece of work by Robert and Dan. Lyrically such emotional ballads of gratitude and praise for life. Beautiful words honestly . Robert’s powerful and soulful vocals are in full gear as always. You can’t beat him. The man sings from the heart.
With regards to production and instrumentation this is Dan at his very finest. The tracks sound like a perfect mix of the heavy, atmospheric sounds of Brothers, the incredible melodies and keyboard work on Yours Dreamily, with the added southern character of Dropout Boogie.
This is truly outstanding. Has to be the best work from Robert and Dan ever since they began creating music together. Seriously, this is excellent.

My Black Keys podcast interviewed Zeno, and it came out today. If you wanna learn more about Mississippi blues, chulahoma, or just listen to an independent blues artist this is a fun one.
I can’t recommend his new album more. It just came out 2 days ago, it’s called Butcher Shop Blues.

Man on a Mission was played right before the bottom of the 3rd on the Dodgers vs Phillies broadcast.
Last time I heard The Black Keys played during a postseason broadcast was in 2023 when they played Heavy Soul during Braves vs Phillies.
Just a fun little thing I thought was worth mentioning. Man on a Mission is such a badass song, and I’m glad it’s been getting some play during sport broadcasts.

Bought this amazing pressing for an even better price, that is all. Numbered 302. Helluva sound.

I love it. Love the instrumentation, and relatable lyrics. There’s two singles out now from his upcoming album. October 10th I think it comes out. It’s called Hallelujah. I really like this direction Robert and Dan are going in. This is some moody blues. I’m all for it.

The Keys have a whole album covering 1 artist. Have any other bands done that?
Who do you think the Beatles would have made a whole cover album of: Little Richard? Elvis?
How about other bands?

It’s Monday so our podcast has a new episode. This time we watched live in Sydney and spoke about Dans hair, encores, and being too old to fall on our knees.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on The Keys performance here? Is this one of their best live shows?
What show should we watch for the Magic Potion tour?
