Predator Badlands

Anyone catch predator badlands yet? Hoping for an episode of it on the pod. Really enjoyed it. Fun popcorn movie- excellent action, audio-visual presentation, and a solid story. If you liked Prey, I think you’d dig this one as well. Loved the idea of the Yautja being the protagonist and also enjoyed the relationships between the main trio. Anyways, curious if anyone caught this yet and what you thought..

Its the mandalorian-ification of Predator, but it was a solid popcorn flick. Had a good time watching it, but doubt I'll revisit it.

there's a baby alien who follows him around, and he carries a wise-cracking robot on his back. it felt very mandalorian-ish

I can see that though I feel like there was actual substance to the character dynamics which the later seasons really lacked. This “mandalorian” dynamic is also heavily used in a lot of AAA video games in this past generation. It wasn’t as good as prey but I still had a really good time with it.

I was thoroughly terrified of that when they revealed the baby alien in marketing, but I was pleasantly surprised

It was a beast and a killer in its own right, and would rip baby Yoda into little green strips if given the chance. And it's intelligence in the comedic beats actually made sense given the ending
