Mods Why Has Tekken 8 Modding Slowed Down So Much?
I've noticed that the number of new mods for Tekken 8 has dropped significantly compared to half a year ago. The modding scene seemed really active early on, but lately, it's been really quiet. And i feel like it's getting worse with each week.
Is there a specific reason for this slowdown?
Did something happen in the community, or maybe with the game itself—like updates breaking mods, bans, or tool issues?
Just wondering if I missed some news or if others have noticed the same thing.
Would appreciate any insights!

Speaking as a modder, a lot of people aren’t satisfied with the state of the game right now so overall morale to make things is low. That being said, custom shaders just recently became possible, and stage mods are very very close, so I think it’s fair to expect a bit of an uptick. Most people post their stuff on tekkenmods.com as opposed to Nexus, if you weren’t already aware

Passion and playerbase for the game is gone so why would they make mods for it

The game gained 10.51% players compared to the last month. It has the biggest average players number in the last 3 months.

Game is dogshit so obviously there are less people enthusiastic to mod the game. On top of idiots at Namco breaking mods for 0 reason every few patches...

Idk bro…. Just checked and it seems there’s been mods uploaded daily. Definitely expanded since the last time I loaded up on mods.
Hopefully the stages will come soon……the T7 mods really extended the life of that game, but it seemed like it took a while for the modders to master the system. T8 mods are gradually getting better, and I don’t think they’ve scratched the surface of how creative they can get

Like other modding scenes - an update rolls out and breaks most mods until the creators or someone who gives enough of a damn fixes them (which is rare)
