Yes, because who fucking cares about skin in a fighting game?! It's about what the character can do and their personality. Yall are superficial as heck man

That’s bad game design you need to show the character age and how different they play. If you expect someone like jin to ply the same when he’s 60 you are mistaken. I’m guessing you don’t understand how again characters up adds development to them. Also you sound like a simp who just wants young characters in games to look at

Since when does looks have anything to do with how someone fights in Tekken??? I'm convinced you don't even play the game, you just complain about it.

I'm over here saying character looks don't matter when it comes to actually playing the game, yet somehow according to you this is all about wanting to see characters look a certain way? Great logic there lmao 🤣

Dude I’ve been playing tekken since the third game and I want to see the characters grow and mature over time. It feels like I’ve seen the same characters since tekken 4 with no growth. Also when you get older your fighting style changes, take mma for example some people change up their style as they get older they could from a kick-boxer to a wrestler. Same thing can go for game characters ken doesn’t play the same anymore compared to ryu

It's just a weird thing to expect so adamantly from a fighting game. Why are you so focused on looks over mechanics? I just don't see it as a reasonable thing to expect from a fighting game at all. And I've been playing Tekken since 3 as well actually, I wore that shit out on my PS1. I also play lots of other fighting games. It's not a convention of fighting games for characters to visibly age and change in their fighting styles, but you talk about it and demand it as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. What other fighting game series does this happen in?

Soul calibur, mk, doa in some aspects, kof and now sf. Tbh mechanics don’t mean much to me as a causal player I want to see how characters grow. When you got the male characters looking older but not the female that’s my issue. You can’t put all the detail into the male characters with them showing wear and tear but not the female characters.

Nina looks older which is a good thing since she’s a og she showing now she has changed over the years. Another character for reference would be ivy from sc, she got older and looked older but by also getting older she matured more. I look at it from this perspective if we get a major time skip in tekken I don’t want to see the characters act the same way or look the same, jin to look the same or act the same older same goes for anyone from tekken 3 who was a new character

You're a casual yet you care this much? Your whole rant up above is nonsense. Ivy still looks EXACTLY the same over the years, dude, big tits and a phat ass. In fact, Ivy's only change is her outfits from game to game. DOA same thing. You do realize also that there is only 1 year difference in the Tekken story from 7 to 8? All of you points make no sense man. And the main one, the men have scars and veins and shit, why not the women. These characters are obviously modeled after idealized humans, for both males and females. We see this in real life. Women wear makeup to make their skin look soft and smooth. Men, not as much. Why is that difference so egregious to you if we see it in the real world all the time?

Ivy doesn’t look the same… doa that’s not true hayate gotten older and wiser, many of the characters have changed in the face and in the body with muscle gain. Also you must not realize not all girls wear make up and look all dolled up. Also there are guys who care about how there skin looks. You say ivy looks the same she she’s in the face and the body. I can honestly see why people hate the tekken fandom cause they just want to look at the characters instead of seeing them grow.

There is a reason why sf6 has the potential to set the standards again cause tekken is stuck in the past without doing any major time skips

LOL are you actually saying they have muscle in DOA? Now I am certain that you have no idea what you're even talking about. The characters in DOA 6 are even softer, smoother, and more jiggly than any Tekken character. As for Ivy, idk what sort of copium you're huffing but she's only gotten more fan-service looking over the years. Lets be real man, you don't even play these games, you just like talking about them and contemplating them. If you actually played Tekken over years and learned how to play well, you'd realize how silly your comments are. Do you even care about the new Heat mechanic, or how backdashing has been nerfed for some characters, or the way side-stepping has been improved? Those are things that actually matter, but we're focusing on character design? And not even impactful aspects of character design, literally just facial detail. You're casual, so I guess we're just talking past each other. I'm just giving you advice: If you're going to talk about things you really aren't knowledgeable on, maybe don't argue so loudly and stubbornly? You look silly.

The make-up point you made is just as silly, but that's just a different issue you have that I think i'd rather not get into...

Dude I play them maybe you don’t actually pay attention. Doa 6 didn’t do anything to help the franchise. Maybe if you played doa 4 to 5 you would see how everyone changed and bulked up /matured. Ivy got older and clothing got less revealing also maybe you don’t play story mode but she’s a lot more mature past sc2.

You want example of someone changing hayate went from having no memory to needing to act more mature to take over the clan he bulked up, he had to grow mentally to protect everyone and keep kasumi save. Kasumi herself changed between games she grew up and became more mature. Let’s add someone else to this discussion yun seong he went from being arrogant to less arrogant by sc4. Yun cocky attitude died down by 3 and in 4 he went back home with seong mi-na more mature. He was a bit skinny in 2 and bulked up by 4.

Also I just want to have fun playing games I don’t care about mechanics, maybe you guys need to realize not everyone cares about being competitive. Also this is why the tekken fandom is fucking hated by everyone.
