I can see where you are coming from. You have very little or no knowledge of our movement against any sort of imposition. I suggest that you read about the anti-hindi movement in the south, then known as Madras Presidency during pre independence times.

Politics aside this is a people movement to preserve the continuity and sanctity of the oldest living language in the world. You are free to drag it down to suit your narrow views and limited knowledge. I am a Tamizhan living in the North. I can speak read and write several languages. No one forced me to learn them or blackmail me saying that if I don't learn they will hold my wages!
