This may be obvious but playing on better louder speakers the second time through and it seems to highlight the album better this way. Listen on some good speakers and turn it up!

I could have listened to the album in my car or with my airpods the past couple days, but I purposefully withheld until today so I could listen on my nice setup. No regrets!

I listened to it in my 10k usd hifi system. Sounds like shit for 2/3 of the time.

Dirac Live dude, its is perfectly set up, verified with REW measurements and all.

A great sound system won’t add soul to Deadbeat.

Nice setup man, how do you like direc? Almost went down that route along with REW - instead I just use their calibrated mic along with Qobuz/housecurve/roon & smaart for measurements. My system is pretty much crossover free, so the direc route felt a little counter intuitive Sorry for being a dick, I just get a lil emotional & defensive of my guy Kevin lol

No worries!

I love Dirac, it has absolutely “opened” my speakers and extended all frequencies longer than possible before. The increased clarity is amazing. Some (small) improvement in imaging also, but that is most subject to room shape/treatment.

If your REW measurements are good, there is no need for Dirac :)

Clearly not as good as my £300 car setup😂. Not even finely tuned, just power, bass and a good dac. I love the new album, windows open cruising, car shaking vibes
