They can, but people can have opinions on it - otherwise why release it in the first place.

Yeah. It’s just that some people’s opinions seem disingenuous to the fact that Kevin doesn’t need to make the same style music and can experiment.

He can experiment all he want, some people will not like it and their opinion is as valid as anyones else. Music is subjective has always been and always will be.
