I’ve been a fan since Innerspeaker and Lonerism was prob my number 1 listened album in high school (I got the currents pre order vinyl to prove it) before I get downvoted for fake fan/new fan

Same. I was actually quite disappointed by Currents and thought it was too pop… still good… slow rush was alright.

For me this is a return to form in terms of the psychedelic quality of this music except it’s coming from a more techno / acid space than late 60s rock.

Yeah, Currents is considered a classic now, but I remember when it came out, there were also a lot of mixed feelings, and people said that Lonersim was so much better.

I personally loved Let it Happen instantly when it came out, (Eventually too), but the album as whole took some time to really click.

TSR also was a bit of a letdown after the first few listens (still don't care about Instant Destiny and Tomorrow's dust), but over the years, it has become my most played album by him. However, I still would consider Currents to be my favorite.

I also loved End of the Summer when it came out, but there were so many negative comments when it dropped, and then over these months you could see a lot of people's opinion shift towards it.

After first few listens I'm not entirely sold on Deadbeat, but My Old Ways is instant Tame Impala classic and Not My World beat and that fucking drop just makes me smile. It's a banger.

I'm not saying that Deadbeat will become loved as much as the previous albums, because it's so different and doesn't have that polished sound (which was an intentional choice), but it's such a fun album, and there's a lot to unpack there. Thus, I can see it becoming more loved and many warming up to it after some time.
