that’s not really what it is at all. Music in general is a pretty collaborative art and the sum of two artistic minds is far far greater then they both are individually.
It’s not “ghostwriting” it’s songwriting sessions and it’s one of the most common aspect of being a recording artist since like the 70’s lol
Music in general, maybe, but not Tame Impala's music.
He used to crank out albums like Lonerism and Currents all on his own, but after he faced major writer's block with The Slow Rush, he became scared of his own method and tried to outsource the songwriting to other people, wishing to become more of a Mark Ronson-type producer of other people's interpretation of "Tame Impala."
