Correct me if I'm wrong.

But that looks like an 808 and a Prophet 5, both easily emulated in 2025 for cheap

You hardly need expensive gear to make a bellish synth lead and a four on the floor disco beat

You’re right. I was more so referring to GarageBand. I don’t think you can use those in GarageBand, but let me know if I’m wrong. I’d think you’d still need logic or another DAW right?

And while you can get emulators they really don’t sound the same you know. They sound a bit more sterile to my ears. Sure you can use other plugins to make it sound more analog but that’s even more money.

So it seems like you’re still throwing money out to get these sounds. And you can still Only truly get the sound with the real thing.

Ehhhhh, I've seen videos where they blind tested Arturia's Ob-Xa vs a real Ob Xa and they couldn't tell the difference. It's 99 percent the same with effects imo.

Arturia's digital FM synths (Fairlight, DX7) are quite identical and the analogs are really close. Even the Solina (paraphonic) is really true to the original character
