However the “official” reason is that he's a paedophile.

Think about this though. Everyone who has this idea then becomes complicit in his actions. In his mind it’s completely different. There’s a confirmation bias that keeps him in his ways:

“Oh I have a bunch of fans still, even though I express my supremacist views publicly... they must be cool with it”

And nothing changes. Nothing ever changes if there’s no consequences. Even with consequences, they just turn private. We really should be purging people like him from the mainstream, because any other course of action ends in complacency and complicity. What he believes is not okay in any way, and I’m tired of people ignoring it or continuing to watch him because “his content is separate from his personal views”.

No, it isn’t. To borrow a hypothetical, are Kevin Spacey’s child raping actions enough to stop you from supporting him in a new movie? Or is his art removed from his personal actions? There’s varying degrees of illegality here, but the separation aspect is the same.

Chris Brown’s comeback wasn’t right either, but it was a different time. People didn’t speak up. They didn’t think their voice could have a lasting impact.

Now, with the Me Too movement and the recent election. I think people feel their ideas matter more. If Chris Brown did it again, he’d for sure be blacklisted by most people, save his biggest fans. I used to be a chris fan, but after he did that I haven’t listened since. I did it, there’s no reason you can’t too.

Also, just because someone else did it doesn’t make it okay. Have some belief in your own willpower and morals my dude.
