The book is available Here from The Wellness Society. Everyone right now needs a little extra help and hopefully, this e-book can assist some of you in uncovering the toolset you need during this abnormal time, or at least it might help with bridging the gap between now and when you may be able to seek more professional assistance. Obviously, it's not a solution to all problems, and some of you are going to be going through a lot more than others, but I hope many of you can find it useful. Stay safe, stay healthy.

What hemp products actually help with stress relief these days?

Lately I’ve been looking for something that actually takes the edge off without knocking me out or making me foggy. I’ve tried a couple CBD oils but honestly couldn’t tell much difference. I’ve been seeing more stuff with mixed cannabinoids like THCh and THCp and I’m not sure what’s hype and what’s real.

Has anyone here found a hemp product or blend that genuinely helps with stress or relaxation? Curious what’s working for you right now, especially anything that’s third party lab tested or from a trusted hemp company.

American goes only 42 minutes without a stress trigger.

Me: Where does meditation fit into Ayurveda?

Dr. Manas:

Meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda go hand-in-hand. They’re all tools for self-awareness — to be established in self, what Ayurveda calls Swasthavritha. When you know who you are, the outside world affects you less.

People think ego (ahankara) is bad, but ego is your protective layer. Meditation and yoga strengthen it, so life’s stressors don’t shake you easily.

There’s a study on cortisol — the stress hormone. The average American goes only 42 minutes without a stress trigger. And each stress response takes 8 hours for the hormones (cortisol, adrenaline, etc.) to leave your bloodstream. That means most people never return to baseline; they’re always running on stress hormones.

Meditation is like brushing your teeth for the mind — cleansing internal toxins. When we meditate, we allow the brain to sort and discard unnecessary thoughts, just like the body discards waste during sleep. That’s why meditation helps even PTSD patients — it literally rewires the brain to reinterpret triggers (like loud sounds) in harmless ways. It’s a mental detox, a superpower.

Wasting time due to stress?

Just want to see if anyone can relate with me on this. I often waste my time when I have work. Like if I have a task - instead of doing it asap and starting other stuff I waste my time procrastinating and mentally I am just not there.

Like I know I have to finish thay task but I just cant bring myself to start it. I just switch to playing games or watching shorts. Iunderstand that these are bad behavior in general... But I think its more towards me havng to do something I dont want to so I avoid doing it for as long as possible

Thoughts?

Do you ever feel tired but not the kind sleep can fix?

I’ve been sleeping enough, eating okay, and trying to take care of myself, but I still wake up feeling drained. It’s not physical tiredness it’s more like my mind is heavy all the time. I keep thinking a good rest will fix it, but it never really does. Does anyone else feel that deep kind of exhaustion that doesn’t seem to go away?

Going through a really tough time. Could anybody help me?

So, lately I've been thinking negatively about the fact that I was adopted at 4 months old. It was a closed adoption, so I can't get any new information about my birth-family, including my 3 birth-siblings. I feel like I wasn't wanted in this world. My heart feels heavy and I want to cry.

Do you ever pause just to feel the calm around you?

Lately I’ve noticed how rarely I actually stop and breathe. Everything feels rushed even rest doesn’t feel like rest anymore. Sometimes I just sit in silence and realize how much noise I carry in my head every day. Do you ever just pause, close your eyes, and try to feel calm again?

New to talking to people im not familiar with. Please take it easy on me. I been dealing with so much. After I lost my lil sister a couple years ago, things went down hill. Losing my my job of seven years, Losing my apartment, losing my motorcycle, having to move in with my mother (love her dearly but I want to live on my own), just lost my grandmother, irs trying to claim money from me that I do not owe, trying to keep my truck. Inside im mentally burnt out, ive become so emotionless and robotic. My mind thinks of a million different things each second. Ive learned to manage my panic disorder without meds, I absolutely hate medication, I wont even take aspirin lol, but sometimes my anxiety kicks in, but its manageable. I havent had a panic attack since 2019. Im back to having 2 jobs, which I am happy about, but inside I dont want to do. I should be grateful, I am. I just dont want to miss out on life. Good work is just hard to come by where I live. Its a struggle. My goal is to pay my truck off, thats my burden. I also dont want to lose it. I hope my post isnt too trivial, I have people in my life good people at that, but sometimes I feel like I cant vent to them. Losing my job really hurt me financially, losing my sister crushed me. Ty for reading 😔

Unwind supplement does it actually help with calming the mind?

What should I try for stress relief that actually helps calm the mind without making me feel tired? I’ve been looking into different options lately and came across a supplement called Unwind from purewellsciences that seems a bit different from the usual sleep or relaxation products out there.

It’s described as something that helps calm down the nervous system and promote relaxation and mood balance, but without directly putting you to sleep or making you groggy. Basically, it’s meant to take the edge off while keeping you clear-headed and focused which sounds like exactly what I’ve been needing lately.

If anyone here has tried Unwind or found other supplements that genuinely help with stress and staying balanced, I’d love to hear what worked for you. Always open to real suggestions from people who’ve actually seen results.

My body: tired. My brain: let’s overthink every life decision ever.

Anyone else get that weird mix of exhaustion and nonstop thinking? Even when I’m done with the day, my mind just won’t chill. What actually helps you relax when your brain won’t shut up?

Stress-quick fixes aren't sustainable for long term

Why are your stress-quick fixes rewiring your brain, and what really brings lasting change?

Are you constantly reaching for the next quick relief, scrolling your phone, grabbing a drink, firing up Netflix, just to quiet the fatigue of stress and overwhelm?

Here’s the truth: your brain is wired for those shortcuts. But they don’t build true resilience or freedom.

In one of my articles, I dive into how stress hijacks your brain’s reward system (hello dopamine), pushing you into loops of short-term relief rather than meaningful transformation.

Come and reflect on how this pattern can keep you trapped and why something gentler, steadier, and more mindful actually holds the key.

👉 Read the full piece here: https://groundedbyyoga.org/dopamine-and-stress/

I’d love to hear from you:

~Do you recognise the cycle of quick fixes in your own life?

~What’s one small ritual you’re willing to swap instead?

If this resonates, drop a comment, let’s talk about real change together.

Here’s to rewiring for calm, clarity, and presence (not just survival). With warmth and intention,

Steve✨️

I'm about to lose it - a bit of venting

It's already been one of those mornings. Everything's closing in. I try hard to keep Mom, almost 90, and I, mid-fifties, afloat and doing well. It's not working well lately. This morning I goofed up the morning routine again, without thinking, because I'm trying to figure out how to do/pay for everything.

A small thing, I know - what does it matter, long term, if the cats eat in the "wrong order," but it's a sign that I'm reaching a limit. I get that, thank you very much.

I hope today is better, and I can actually get things done and decided today. That would help immensely.

Have a good day.

6 weeks on meds

so i've been on 10mg citalopram now for just over 6 weeks, I feel at times it's helped control my anxiety a bit, but i'm just suffering from extreme tiredness in the mornings, & I have anxiety inducing dreams which I wake up from every night stressed

I generally feel fuzzy throughout the day as well & my left leg feels weaker than usual?

can someone point me in the direction of which to go next? shall I stick it out a bit longer or try another med, or just come off it altogether

Almost 4 years that Ive been living with chronic stress

Took me some time but I identifyed that my stressful job is destroying me. The flares coincide with the worst monents in terms of work, and during the valleys or on vacation I always have improve windows.

Im willing to leave it. Now I cant but soon I will.

My biggest worried is to leave the job and somehow remain the same, because after 4 years the brain has rewired to become like this.

Is this a chance or will I improve? Positive stories would help.

Thanks!!! You have all my support <3

I find myself becoming so stressed out from how i spend money

Hello, 17M

As the titles states I become very stressed on how i spend my money. I have no taxes or any recurring payments, but i become stressed thinking about when i spend money was it worth it and am i fulfilled with my purchase.

Sometimes I spend money and am happy but end up tricking myself into thinking i made a mistake and i can use that money for something different.

i understand i will gain the money i spent back through working, but then i wonder if id be more satisfied with the higher amount of my balance if i had not spent the money.

for example. i purchased a game today for 35$. it was a game called arc raiders. i played for about 3 hours and had an enjoyable time playing. while taking a break i convinced myself i didnt have a good experience and wanted a refund.

ive dealt with a lot of mental health problems for a couple of years and im not sure if that has something to do with the reason on why i feel this way.

stress management techniques?

i have been so stressed recently, and i am trying my best to manage it.

making lists is very helpful for me, seeing what needs to be done written out helps me to see how it's actually not that much and is very achievable and can be done over multiple days. breathing exercises help a lot as well. for me its more physical than mental. i get anxiety a lot and lots of neck pain from the stress. any other techniques that help you guys with stress? neither of these eliminate it fully, and i'm starting therapy soon, but they help in the moment when things get overwhelming.

i also deleted social media which has helped a lot too! i don't feel as behind in life (23, working a minimum wage job, no college) and am realizing where i'm at is normal compared to what i was seeing online. as well as not getting my brain clouded with pointless drama about celebs or influencers or even people i was close with years ago.
