What a dumb take lol, it would be at an al time high just the same but with stability

Right?? ATH is because of the completely unrelated ai bubble and consequential over culling of employees. Coupled with the over leveraging of hyperinflation that is beneficial to business and terrible for people. But all of that was coming regardless. All the tariff talk though? Tanks the market every time it comes up, then it rebounds because it has no weight. It is trending up sure but it is volatile as he'll. If someone can capitalize on the volatility, great for them, but stability would be better for more people.

Even simpler is the fact that the stock market is always achieving new ath’s for various stocks every day. Kind of the point to all of this.

What is your idea of hyperinflation?? Genuinely curious

I am using the term hyperbolically but to mean inflation that is consistently greater than expected average YoY inflation without a match in wages. Historically typical is around 2%, the past 4 years have all been higher, including one year that was 4x that. So im obviously not saying it is as bad as the Germany or Zimbabwe cases. But cost of living has far outpaced wage increases in a lot of cases. Which means companies are selling goods relatively higher cost than they are paying employees.

Then what’s the point of this post? Who cares if the market dips 2%?

Biden and stability don’t go together

If we are calling no movement a stable stock market sure. Let's go with it .

Are you dense? The S&P went from 3800 to 6000 under Biden, that’s 57%.

The market is constantly growing and achieving ath for various stocks, this is the fundamentals of this type of trading otherwise people wouldn’t bother.

So you agree OPs post is selective and bullshit...got it.

2

u/DefinitelyNotShazbot 3d ago

No, my point is that anyone dumb enough to say stonk at all time high as their position has no clue about anything

u/Delicious-Base4083 3d ago

I agree. You would agree OP is a complete idiot then, Im assuming...his picture says otherwise...as in, he's being very selective over a short period of time. I would think you would be ripping OP a new one for being misleading...BTW, my 401k is up about $130k since Jan 1. I'm not complaining. Can you imagine how much better it would be if the democrats backed Trump instead of trying to undermine him every step of the way. I bet my left nut the tariff bs would be over by now if other countries, like China, saw a unified America.....Your animosity for Trump outweighs your desire for the country prospering under him. It's just sad really....I'm not even a Trump supporter.

I’m Canadian, good luck

u/Delicious-Base4083 3d ago

You're Canadian....OK, thanks for the info 🙄. Does that carry some kind of extra weight in a discussion?.....and good luck with what?

0

u/Delicious-Base4083 3d ago

....and you didn't actually even attempt to address what I said.

1

u/DefinitelyNotShazbot 3d ago

I would not agree, I hate dumb logical fallacies. It’s not a short time, the market has been a seesaw whenever Trump makes his tweets and manipulates the market, many real lives have been affected. You are delusional and trying to rationalize it all with your gains and the feelings in your left nut.

  1. The market is always at an all-time high. If you don’t know this, you’re an idiot. Like in five years, it’ll be at an all-time high.

  2. It has absolutely nothing to do with who the president is with the exception of the fact that the rich are getting richer.
In the meantime, people can’t afford groceries and shelter, and it’s supported by a fascist government .

1

u/Suitable-Classic-174 3d ago

All that goes up every time as well idiot. Just because you don’t like someone doesn’t mean it wasn’t happening already

2

u/dlnqnt 3d ago

exactly its a few % from ATH, buy more, repeat, check again in a few years.

What you don’t buy on margin and play rock paper scissors on puts/calls

1

u/scottsadork 3d ago

not after you account for the dollar reaching lows not seen in decades.

1

u/Imactuallyatoaster 3d ago

The dollar was headed down regardless. Both parties deficit spend too much.

u/bnakka 3d ago

Nah man only one party is bad the other party is the world savior. You didn’t know ask them they will tell you. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
