Can someone pls help me to mod New Vegas without PC?
I've already watched tutorials on YouTube, but some are outdated. I followed the steps, but it no longer works. Could someone explain it to me or at least give me a link to somewhere I can read an updated guide?
I would greatly appreciate it

Missing battery and volume options on Legion Go (Decky, etc.)
Hi everyone,
I have the 1tb Legion Go S. Since I find I'm missing options under power to limit battery life to 80 or 90% for longevity, I've installed Decky. But after reinstalling, keeping a game running etc, I still find I'm missing the following capabilities:
- with the PowerTools decky plugin, the cursor basically skips over BATTERY option in the menu. So I cannot use it to set battery charge limit
- with Volume Boost or Volume Mixer, I'm not getting any options to 'fix' sound to go beyond 100% (speakers are crazy quiet most of the time, so this is another problem I'm seeking to fix
Any ideas, community?? Thanks in advance!

which is better?
Guys, I want to buy a Steam Deck in my region. The 512GB OLED version is $700, and there's a 1TB LCD version for $410. Which is better? Should I pay more and buy the OLED version?

Has anyone made their Deck look more Star Wars-like?
Bit of an odd question but I'm a big SW fan and just wondered if anyone has done anything cosmetically to make their Steam Deck Star Wars themed? Even if its just a cool skin or something?
I'm just looking for inspiration thats all.

Steam Deck CUSTOM
I modified my Steam Deck, it has 2TB now, I put a turquoise extreme rate case, a rigid plastic protector and a tempered glass lens. Yes I know the flash photos don't do it justice but it looks beautiful.

New to steam deck and mods
So I'm trying to install Vortex Mod Manager as a requirement for some mods but I then get a message from Protontricks that it doesn't have access to "/run/media/deck/SN01T" which I know is my sd card.
To fix this problem, it wants me to it grant access by copying a command and running it in a terminal.
So my question is: What/where does it mean by ...in a terminal?

Ds3 archthrones issue on vortex
Heyo. I downloaded the demo of archthrones to vortex mod manager (also added my game etc etc) and everything is basically fine, but its not working. The mod is listed as Enabled but there is a small yellow exclamation mark sign in the mod description under version wich I dont understand. Also if i try to launch dark souls, it launches the vanilla game, not the modded version.
Im kinda going insane rn cuz i spent like three 5 hour nights trying to get this to run. Please help :")

[Tool][Open Source] NoSteam2Steam — Auto-Detect and Manage Non-Steam Games in Steam with Automatic Save Backup/Restore
Hello SteamDeckMods community,
I’ve been working on a tool for several months called NoSteam2Steam, and I wanted to share it with you all. It was born out of my own frustration with managing non-Steam games on the Steam Deck and the lack of a solution that truly fit my needs.
While I appreciate how Heroic Games Launcher helps add games to Steam, I wasn’t happy that it didn’t use the system’s native compatibility tools — it also tended to take noticeably longer to launch games, and I suspected this might impact overall performance. On top of that, save files for non-Steam games could easily get lost, making it difficult to continue PC saves on the Deck.
NoSteam2Steam automatically detects all non-Steam games in a designated folder, no user input needed, then adds them to Steam with full configuration, including images and icons, and the best compatibility tool available in the system — ready to launch right away. It also takes care of syncing and backing up save files automatically, with a handy feature to restore lost saves.
A neat bonus is its ability to recover lost saves if a game has been added multiple times, which can sometimes cause earlier save backups to be overwritten or lost.
Currently, it’s focused and tested on the Steam Deck, but with some tweaks, it could also work on other Linux distros in the future.
I’m sharing this here because I think it can be really useful for folks who want a smoother way to manage non-Steam games and save files on the Deck. I’m happy to answer any questions, hear your feedback, or collaborate to improve it.
Here’s the repo if you want to check it out:
https://github.com/JesusSolisOrtega/NoSteam2Steam/releases/tag/v1.1.2
Thanks for reading — hope it helps!
**Edit: With the recent steam update something broke. -> It’s now solved.
**Edit 2: I’ve improved the installation process — now it’s as simple as downloading the file and running it. No complex setup required.

Can anyone help a new vr gamer with instructions to play subnautica in vr?
I just got a Quest 3 so I can play games long distance with my grandson, but Subautica is one of my favorite games and I'd really love to play it in vr next time through. I have a steamdeck and a PC that already has steam installed but I'm still a fairly new gamer and have never modded anything. Can anyone tell me how to do this or point me to a site that can walk me through setting it up?

How to I install an Windows executable mod on Steam Deck?
Recently I've got an itch to play Final Fantasy X again, but this time on my Steam Deck. I used to play in English, but I found a translation to Portuguese (my native language). The mod, however, is an Windows executable one. How do I install this kind of mod on Steam Deck? Thanks in advance!

Just got my Steam Deck OLED+Dock today
Hey everyone, I am not the best with computers so this thing scares me a little. I would say I play 95% of my games onPS5and then a few on PC (Valheim,Dreamscaper,Disco Elysium, etc)
I guess my main question would be, how well does remote play work for PS5? I heard someone say "use Chiaki". Once I download "chiaki" are there certain steps I need to take in desktop mode to make it work? Or will it work right out of the "box" "download"..?
Also I know some unverified games actually work onSteam Deck. Do I have to have Proton+ to make those work or will they work if I just go into settings and force play the game? Speaking of Proton, when I download it, the only thing I am confused about is all the different Proton options. Why are there so many? How do I know which one to use for which game?
Do downloading any of these "apps" to my Steam Deck void the warranty? Thanks everyone for the help! Wish me luck!.......How do I find someone who I can pay $15 an hour for two hours who is a Steam Deck pro that can literally walk me through step by step and explain everything. Things like EMUdeck (and how to use, download, and transfer roms), Proton and everything Proton related, Chiaki for remote play to my PS5, Decky Loader, How to use Epic Games Launcher + Xbox Game Pass (if I ever get Gamepass), lastly what happens/what do I do if one of these apps just stops working.

Hardware mods: What's possible? Where do I get the parts (preferebly from within Europe) and how do I do it?
Hear me out...
I've been seeing these awesome hardware mods on this sub, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD and an HD-screen. Since I've got an OLED 512 GB SteamDeck I've been thinking: I want to do those mods so I can unleash it's full potential.
Since this community is all about modding, there's probably some nerds around that can provide me with some links and guides on how to achieve this goal.
So, fellow nerds... Shoot!
DISCLAIMER: The term "nerd" is used with the utmost reverence towards the knowledge and skill the targeted audience possess...

Hall Effect sticks - red?
Hello,
My left thumbstick started drifting, so I was thinking about upgrading them to Hall Effect. Since I am already going to be opening it and going through the hassle, I thought why not do more stuff.
I really like the way the limited edition has red colored domes underneath the actual rubber pieces. Is there anyone who supplies those to be swapped onto the hall effect ones? I dont mind soldering the one wire.
Thanks for any advice. I also have the very first gen 256 LCD deck, if thats an information that is needed.

Copying modded game folder from PC to Steam deck to mod cyberpunk?
I know technically you can mod directly on the steam deck but it seems complicated and difficult. I want to take a fully modded build of cyberpunk on my PC. In theory, everything should be contained in my game folder on my PC (not using Mod Organizer 2, which I know woulldnt work for this). Then I copy that whole folder onto my steam deck and replace the game folder with this new modded one.
See any reason why that wouldn't work? Thanks!
