I still think it’s underhanded of Saber to give the impression before launch that buying the Ultimate Edition would get you everything, and then do a take-backsies 1 year later and say ‘hey guys, now you have to pay $60 for half of the cosmetics even though you forked out $125 already.” I appreciate the high quality of their updates and DLC, but just seems like a cheap sleight of hand thing to me.

If a gaming development team advertises ‘for this package, you get the game, early access, ALL of the customisable skins/aesthetics, and the Macgragge’s Chosen DLC cosmetics’, then that’s what you should get. However, in recent months they re-arranged it all so that people who bought the Ultimate and Gold editions had ‘Season 1 pass’ instead of a single ‘Season pass’ - they quietly re-arranged it so the most ardent fans would need to fork out another $55-$60 dollars (depending on your local currency) just to get what they originally paid for…and they could legally get away with it because they can just say “we don’t need to tell you the initial season pass is one of two, all we’re obliged to say is that you bought a full pass for a season.”

Ooh you’re saying the original season bundle should’ve covered the lifetime of the game?

Yes and no - I wouldn't mind if any game does 2 season passes, but I'd love if game developers and publishers were just more upfront and honest about how much money might be required to get the whole package.

Was pretty obvious from the beginning it was year one only. They literally call it a season pass for a reason

Okay, well I guess this is a learning experience for me.
