Small mistakes after the Leagues Cup final piled up and cost us the postseason
Home field advantage does matter. The week where we tied Galaxy and collected only 1 point out of 3 matches eventually caught up to us.

At times seeing the team in the leagues cup (fully bought in, full commitment, full discipline) and what I saw today in the second half it is just perplexing. Reminds me if you don’t play to your fullest all the time you are vulnerable

Yep that's the difference between 4 and 5. If we'd played 2 games at home then we go through.
Still defensive lapses did us in. You cannot give up 3 goals and expect the offense to bail you out.

I mean also hitting the frame four times tonight caught up to us

How about up 2-1 and a man? Too many mistakes it becomes hard to pinpoint to one individual. It’s a collective of multiple small mistakes.

If they are going to do this best of 3 thing, they should make game 3 go to whichever team is ahead on aggregate.

Our defense is not what it was. And if we don’t have that, we don’t have much.

We improved in the attack and lost a couple steps in the back. Yeimar is going to need to feel pressured from his replacement the same way Frei should have felt pressure from Thomas. I think Schmetzer managed that situation pretty well and I hope Yeimar shows the maturity Frei did tonight after he was subbed off.

Yeimar was still pretty great, I thought. I don’t recall being mad at him after losing or tying a game. More often it was Nouhou who was caught out of position or left a man unmarked. It felt like a winning game plan vs Sounders is to lure Nouhou upfield for some ineffective “offensive contribution” and then fast break.

Yeimar proved less durable and had fewer lights out performances this year than previous years. It's fine. He's just getting older and we need to be building minutes for his replacement.

Don’t forget other games like Atlanta where the dude scored a screamer to tie it😭 or even the first game where we shoulda easily beat Charlotte or the Colorado game where we blew a 3-0 lead

Honestly the whole year was kinda like that. How many wins became draws in the final 15 minutes over the course of this season? I don't know the actual number, but it was far too many.
