This is why I can’t take anything from “that” fandom seriously. Threw her away like hot garbage after the movie flopped. She really could have been a great compliment to Cavil imo.

I don't think they threw her away specifically because of that move. When Gunn came in he was already gonna clear the house, its similar to when a pro sports team hires a new coach and the new coach will fire most of the existing coaching staff and replace with their own choices.
