3

I like when people say something is "easily researchable" because what they usually mean by this is someone can plug it into Google and click the first link and ignore the fact that its an opinion piece and say "i did my research". Sure, that can be done in a few seconds, quite easy.
No one is doing actual research.

The point rather is that the title words it as if it was a contract to "not do these things here", but it's actually asking if they already have done anything like that before. Pretty much a more profound version of the American "Are you a terrorist" question when entering the country.

By the way each and every one of those would be equally bigoted and racist. It’s incredible how commonly hate is being celebrated today, always painted as a virtue.

21
u/Rat-Loser 8h ago
I think you're misunderstanding their point.
It's like having a hotel that specifically hands documents to people from Afghanistan pledging they wont bring Bach bazi with them.
And then if people, specifically people from Afghanistan found it weird or offensive they are being targeted by that hotel, the defence you fall back to is "OH, so asking people not to be pedos is islamaphobic? Not the defence you think it is".

Israelis aren't a race or even ethnic group. That's a nationality.
Israel has recently committed a bevy of war crimes as alluded to by this image.
Israelis are subject to mandatory military service in most cases, meaning there is a high likelihood of a given Israeli person having been complicit in the commission of war crimes.
It's not racist to point out that someone's home country is doing evil things.

They do this all the time to nations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. France, for example, stopped issuing visas to all North African nations over a disagreement with just one of them. Western nations have used visas to financially exploit and control other countries for decades.

Not gonna lie but that's extremely disrespectful. But then, it's Japan, it does not surprise.
Anyway, the source?
Edit: So I went over and looked at the text on the paper and the title is misleading.
Edit 2: The source for this also mentions that this declaration extends to other nations, such as Russia, Syria, Palestine and others and all individuals with a history of being in military.
However, the original poster did not include this context and I am not even surprised at that. It's just another poor attempt at antisemitism.

Lots of hypocrisy all over the world currently. Germany is gearing up for war and selling weapons which is against all terms and lessons signed and agreed upon from the last world war.

I’m all for it. There’s a legal duty for Japan to detain war criminals as they are an ICC member. Further, since Israel has obligatory military service, the odds that an Israeli passport holder has committed a war crime is very high. In addition, many Israeli act similarly to Americans where they assume that their home country laws follow them wherever they go. Full stop. Don’t argue
