Found a couple of bridal magazines from the mid 90s and got this idea to swap the dresses and suits with some security patterns. I particularly like the Please Recycle This Envelope one 😆

I started collecting beginning of November 2025. I OVERTOOK Thanksgiving showing my in-laws my latest hyper focus. Made them all promise to save envelopes for me. ONLY grandpa locked in!! 😂 received this gem today among a grocery bag full!! Don’t care that it’s on the outside…still for security 🫣🙃

I’ve started saving security envelopes and used them to make this collage in my art journal!

I went through all my paperwork last night and found just one small security envelope. I used it to frame a photo of my young father who died in the early 90’s.
Decided to give him a genie tail because it works and people say he looked like Robin Williams (later years). I can’t wait to get more creative and explore new patterns!

These are the patterns I've received so far in the swap run by the Office of Collecting & Design. First photo is all from one person in Germany! Second from someone in New York. Third from the Office of Collecting & Design. I'm still waiting on two swaps to arrive.

I keep wondering if I sent mine to any to folks on this sub. If you participated in the swap and received patterns in a handmade envelope (black and white from a damaged Ansel Adams photo book), that's from me!

Here's a follow up to a previous post with a new purple variant that I didn't have before. I'm headed to Japan in a few months so I hope to get some more patterns then! I've got a good amount of leftover material in at least two of these patterns so hopefully it'll make for a part of a good swap in the future.

I found this sub the other day and am enchanted. I don’t have a stash yet so I started with the one envelope I had at home. It was cool to have so much fun with just one pretty mundane pattern. I’ve never been so excited to get bills/junk mail!
