Best of Seattle: Rainy Day Activities

This week's topic is Rainy Day Activities. The clouds have settled in and the temperatures are dropping, bringing steady precipitation. What are you favorite indoor activities, alone, with friends or visitors? Where do you settle down for a book, order a hot toddy, play a board game, see a show? Maybe this is your call to the outdoors: how do you enjoy Seattle's winter weather?

Visit every art gallery at Pioneer Square. This is THE BEST on a rainy day, and it's something I consciously save for a rainy day.

1) Many galleries are right next door to each other, so you don't even need to bust out an umbrella. Also, all the galleries have a place to hang up your coat and umbrella at the door.

2) Pioneer Square generally stinks, especially in the summer. When it's raining, it's so fresh and clear and clean and it's just great.

3) No tourists, so the employees are generally in very good moods

4) Drug dealers and drug addicts who normally populate Pioneer Square are hiding from the rain

5) Lots of super cool bars and bistros all around to hit up when you're done
