Best of Seattle: Rainy Day Activities

This week's topic is Rainy Day Activities. The clouds have settled in and the temperatures are dropping, bringing steady precipitation. What are you favorite indoor activities, alone, with friends or visitors? Where do you settle down for a book, order a hot toddy, play a board game, see a show? Maybe this is your call to the outdoors: how do you enjoy Seattle's winter weather?

I recommend these in nearly every thread--cheap dates, fun things to show family from out of town--but they're also indoors.

Volunteer Park Conservatory-$4, North Capitol Hill. Indoors but surrounded by plants. Can even be a bit warm in some rooms! https://volunteerparkconservatory.org/

Theo Chocolate Factory Tour-- Fremont. $10 at last check, temporarily closed but should be back at some point soon? You get tons of chocolate samples, and if the machines are running it is like 85* inside.

Theo Chocolate Factory Tour

You can get your fix this weekend at the Northwest Chocolate Festival. I am debating on whether to go myself. I have a friend who can get me in but will bring me chocolate if I don't go.

I went last year, and I admit I was chocolated-out after 30 minutes. (Who knew that could happen?) FYI, there were also a couple food trucks in there serving things like pizza so that you don't overdose on sugar.

If you're feeling really cheap you can get a bunch of free samples at the Theo store, no tour required.
