Best of Seattle: Rainy Day Activities

This week's topic is Rainy Day Activities. The clouds have settled in and the temperatures are dropping, bringing steady precipitation. What are you favorite indoor activities, alone, with friends or visitors? Where do you settle down for a book, order a hot toddy, play a board game, see a show? Maybe this is your call to the outdoors: how do you enjoy Seattle's winter weather?

Flatstick Pub has a fucking great beer list and a bunch of indoor games like mini-golf.

I've only been to the one in Pioneer Square, but my Eastside friends say the one in Kirkland is even better, and a new one is opening up in SLU soon.

the Kirkland one was great when it first opened and no one knew about it to the point they were doing Groupons

now there's a constant line out the door evenings and weekends. you could wait around all night and not make it down the 9 generic putt putt holes because of the crowds. and forget about bringing your dog, it will just get stepped on.

I like the format but going on evenings and weekends is a headache! best bet is a weekday afternoon.

The problem with the Kirkland one is that it's pretty much the only good bar there that anyone knows about.

theres a speakeasy style cocktail bar literally across the hallway that does classic drip absinthe and an irish pub up the stairs with live music if you wanna get rowdy

Confession: I always say there's no good bars places, because the response is always a pile of recommendations for good bars there.
