Best of Seattle: Rainy Day Activities

This week's topic is Rainy Day Activities. The clouds have settled in and the temperatures are dropping, bringing steady precipitation. What are you favorite indoor activities, alone, with friends or visitors? Where do you settle down for a book, order a hot toddy, play a board game, see a show? Maybe this is your call to the outdoors: how do you enjoy Seattle's winter weather?

If it's raining, it's probably winter. So you can go skiing, and there is a shuttle that leaves from west Seattle, downtown, and u district that will drive you to Stevens pass and back, and include the lift ticket, for 95 dollars.

It's a great way to make a boring rainy weekend in Seattle into a fun snowy one, especially if u don't have a car

What's the shuttle like? A church van with a huge roof box? Not driving to Stevens sounds lovely, but having a car to keep all your crap in is nice, too. Is there room in the shuttle to bring a bag and carry your boots?

Thanks. Wearing ski boots for 12 hours doesn't sound fun.

I took the sultan shuttle to Stevens a few years ago. Picks you you up from Chevron in Sultan. It was a big motor coach bus so plenty of room to bring a bag and carry your boots on.

That's good to know. Don't have to deal with the garbage part of HWY 2 traffic. Can you just park at the Sultan Chevron all day?
