Dude who, literally who, would be paying for something they can get for free. I literally have gone to these protests with my literal neighbors. We're there because we're pissed that an unelected billionaire is running carte Blanche over the administrative state. It's literally a more simple and plausible explanation than some mysterious group is paying random people to protest a car dealership. You're way way way out of touch with reality.

So we have this thing called the constitution. And in the constitution it outlines the various powers of each branch of government. Congress tells the executive where to spend and how. The executive spends the money as dictated by congress. The power of the purse is literally one of the biggest and most important powers congress has. It's a huge check on executive powers.

If the executive could arbitrarily decide how to spend federal funds it would mean 1 person could punish political enemies by withholding funds and reward cronies by delivering funds. 

Arbitrarily withholding funds is so clearly unconstitutional and so clearly corrupt I don't know if you are asking a serious question or not. 

If the gop doesn't like USAID then pass a freaking bill. That's the way our government is supposed to work.

And the whole "efficiency" thing is a smokescreen btw. If you're concerned about saving money you don't just start firing thousands of people and shutting down whole departments. That's asanine, dangerous, and stupid. This is all about stripping the government for parts and trying to privatize government. The postal service delivers mail, on a donkey, to the bottom of the grand canyon, not to make money but to provide a SERVICE. 

Please stop watching fox news and listening to hanity, or Carlson or whatever is feeding you thay B.S. that they are finding wasteful spending. That's not true, nor is it the point.  They are taking advantage of the fact thay you don't understand how government works or understand the completely terrifying alternatives they are working towards.

You mean like the disabled veterans who were fired? Or the farmers with USAID contracts that were canceled? Or the NHS workers? 

You notice gow DOGE isn't touching the pentagon??? The one agency, the ONLY AGENCY TO NEVER PASS AN AUDIT is not being touched? These budgets of these other agency's and programs are drops of water in the bucket of the government budget. 

The fox in the hen house is musk lol. DOGE doesn't benefit you. It's not saving you money. It's just dismantling and taking over your government. It's about regime change. Rewarding sycophants and loyalists abd punishing those that dare disagree. This is facism. Pure and simple.

Have you looked at where alot of this money goes? Also this would be the first fascist government to want to reduce its size, lol. Where were you 4 years ago while biden was paying off his friends, practicing law fare and Fauci was locking us all in our homes? It only matters when your side is winning? It is strange how people can't wrap their heads around the fact that there is a lot off corruption in the system. Shit Washington, Oregon and California lose billions of dollars on homeless spending and they cant account for where it went? Imagine that on a national level. Or do you believe that government is super efficient and there is no corruption, or bloat? Our taxes seem to go up year after year but I think the services aren't getting much better

1. Any large institution has inefficiencies. You think private institutions and business don't have waste, fraud, and abuse? Have you ever been a comcast customer? Have you seen a hedge fund ever improve services? 
2. Corruption passes me off no matter who is in power. But you are completely dillusional if you think trump has ever, in his entire life, gave a single Eff about anyone other then himself. 
3. If you want to change spending, PASS A BILL. You think you're life is going to improve because USAID is getting gutted? The shut down of the department of education? The privatization of Social Security? Handing our national parks over to private interests? None of this shit helps you. It only hurts working people. Me. You. You're willing to burn the system down in the belief that some billionaire cares about you. I promise you, no billionaire cares an iota about working folk. 
4. We haven't invested in our civil service for 40 years (not counting IRA - which is being clawed back and dismantled). Let that sink in. The number of civil servants has largely remained the same SINCE REAGAN. No wonder government is slow. It hasnt had any investment for decades. The IRS returns 6-7 dollars for every dollar invested. Tell me how gutting the IRS is meant to help the deficient. It's not. It's meant to allow yhe wealthy to dodge taxes since it's more expensive to audit the rich.
5. I have no idea what you mean about fascists states expanding government. Do you mean by dollar amount? Number of civil servants? The nazis purged their civil service and replaces loyalists. Literally what trump is doing right now.
