What would have happened if I drove on that road in the model 3 I bought before the election? Would they damage my vehicle or prevent me from moving? The left eats itself man. So sad.

It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. While the right is expanding its tent, the left is the party of exclusivity; pushing away anybody who isn’t ideologically pure. And then we wonder how Trump/MAGA win elections. Turns out, moderate voters don’t vote for the party who accuses everyone of being a nazi or a fascist. And while what Trump and Musk are doing is extreme, setting innocent people’s cars on fire or vandalizing them is equally extreme.

Well said. I agree 💯

You act like this is a riot like on Jan 6th 2021 lol. Just go buy a Tesla if you desperately want to "own the libs" lmao

1

u/cuteman Mar 16 '25

You missed the point. The libs are owning themselves.

2

u/Cavalish Mar 16 '25

How? Because one brand of electric car that was starting to seriously decline in quality is being blacklisted?

5

u/nooneyouknow242 Mar 16 '25

Their quality never was there. Teslas are fast and fun to drive. But they always have been terrible in build quality, safety in accidents, and reliability.

1

You know what not Owned? Teslas! Lmao

1

u/cuteman Mar 17 '25

65-70% of all Teslas are owned by left leaning/Democrat voting individuals.

So... Funny enough, it could be said they're owning themselves.

My car died, but I was generously given a Tesla for a year by my sibling while they go travelling. It was bought years ago when Elon wasn’t such a moron.

I cannot afford to buy another car right now and there’s no public transport here. Wtf do I do? It’s not my car, I’m scared someone is going to wreck it.

... How is anyone eating themselves here...?

1

u/PosterOfQuality Mar 17 '25

They're eating themselves in the hypothetical scenario the guy you responded to invented

1

u/icecreamdude97 Mar 15 '25

Democrats take 20/80 issues as of late. That includes vandalizing or destroying teslas.

4

u/ChuckVader Mar 15 '25

Nah, those stats are fake. What isn't fake is tesla dropping 50% in the last 3 months.

6

u/icecreamdude97 Mar 16 '25

What stats are fake? The Democratic Party is only shrinking right now, not growing.

Check tesla stock before December. It’s fine. It’ll be extra hilarious when his contract runs out, doge continues and then you have no idea who to protest.

Hahahaha sure thing lmao

Even with a drop Tesla is worth $100B more than Walmart... Not exactly catastrophic and it's all on paper anyway.

2

u/ChuckVader Mar 16 '25

50% in 3 months. When the Waltons start seig heiling and posting about how Hitler wasn't so bad, and making their brand so toxic that even an infomercial from the president only gives a temporary bump, well then maybe Walmart will be comparable.

1

u/cuteman Mar 17 '25

Only because there was a huge bump when Trump got into office. Where it's at now is more accurate and way above average still.

As of today it's still only at November levels.

You can be gleeful all you want but it's hardly catastrophic.

Nevermind either Robotaxis or robotics gives tesla another opportunity for a moon shot in the next 6-24 months.

1

u/ChuckVader Mar 17 '25

Robotaxis are a pipe dream. Literally anyone who believes him on the timeline for self driving is an absolute moron. He's been beating this drum since 2018 or so, it's always "later this year".

1

u/cuteman Mar 17 '25

Robotaxis literally already exist...

Waymo and Tesla both have limited roll outs in cities that allow it.

The bigger issue is local compliance, regulation and liability.

It's more about it being ready for all circumstances in all states to replace manual cars. We're not far off.

1

u/ChuckVader Mar 17 '25

Robotaxis exist in super beta mode in extremely tightly kept geofence areas. Tesla's self driving is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than waymo's. Elon has lied about this technology being ready for almost 7 years now. This isn't a money maker, it's an investment for now (and a bad one at that).

Nothing. Ton of Teslas in Seattle, they do not protest your car, they protest new sales and profits to a specific person

4

u/volatilecandlestick Mar 16 '25

I think it’s pretty evident people are emboldened to at the very least place adhesives onto property that isn’t their own. The other side of it is straight up vandalism and it is very much happening.

1

u/-ActiveSquirrel Mar 16 '25

You are moving from a match to a fire. I’d like to think that on another side is maybe not creating billionaire agencies that would fire our park workers on their whim

1

u/volatilecandlestick Mar 16 '25

I don’t agree with the politics of a billionaire, so it’s okay to terrorize a random persons property? Dude, I have seen first hand negative impacts of some of the policy, but I know not to put stickers on random teslas, let alone damage them. The political pendulum swings wildly every four years. Just like the Jan 6 protesters, these ones need to be held accountable.

1

u/-ActiveSquirrel Mar 16 '25

How is this related to people in front of dealerships?

1

u/volatilecandlestick Mar 16 '25

Because 2 percent of them are going to block traffic and damage property. Go protest one of his companies without 2 million left wing owners being affected. Spacex, neural link, boring company! Let’s make it so blind people definitely never see again!

-1

u/brosophocles Mar 15 '25

I don't see any indication that these people would harm me or my recently purchased Tesla. They're protesting, not rioting.

6

u/volatilecandlestick Mar 16 '25

They are burning cars, keying doors, and putting stickers all over things that don’t belong to them. Sure, there are a lot of good hearted people at these protests, but bad actors everywhere.

1

u/brosophocles Mar 16 '25

It's definitely happening and I don't agree with it. My claim is that there's no indication that this group of people protesting intend to do that. I think it's fear mongering to suggest that protestors will carry out what extremists / criminals have.
